Our company has been in business since 1937. We began as a small welding shop. In 1971 we became incorporated and two years later we began specializing in the Marine Industry. Here at Luther's, we take pride in our ability to fabricate from aluminum, steel and steel alloys. We can produce almost anything that can be drawn.

We have fabricated an array of products for a wide variety of customers in the U.S. and Canada. Although we specialize in the marine industry, we have not limited ourselves. We have successfully produced items for many companies outside of this industry. Our staff consists of welders with over 50 years experience and with various welding certifications.
Services
Replacing a marine tank can be a frustrating project but you will not have to worry about the quality of the tank itself when you have Luther's fabricate your tank. We have an extensive archive of drawings that are filed in our system by the boat make, model and size. Let us know which style boat you have and we can get you an estimate on a new tank.
At Luther's Welding & Fabrications, we offer complete machining and fabrication services. Our specialty is both OEM and aftermarket marine hardware including tanks, exhaust, mastheads, and chain plates. All marine components are built to American Boat and Yacht Council and US Coast Guard standards.

Luther’s did a fabulous job fabricating and installing a set of railings that conformed to the Historic District Commission’s requirements. Very responsive; they arrive when scheduled. Work is completed on time. I recommend Luther’s Welding without hesitation.

Bud Luther and his crew have done multiple projects for my company Baltic Boat Works, LLC over the past years - from custom tank fabrication to high end AL marine part fabrication. They have again and again done outstanding work - always on time, always on budget and with great input to our engineering. This is an old fashioned fabrication outfit that is capable of working 100% custom jobs - definitely one of our favored vendors!

As a woman who knows her way around a boat, I was stuck for a place to go for help getting a new gas tank.

Seeing the name "Luthers" as a welding company near the bike path I frequent in RI I thought I'd leave a message as I cycled past on a sunny Saturday afternoon in search of a cup of coffee.

The team at Luthers was phenomenal - not only did they return my call the next business day, they made time in their schedule in the depth of a global pandemic to fabricate a fuel tank for me.

I was astounded they got the work done so quickly and perfectly. The yard that did my repair

This company is truly professional in every aspect from the project sales, engineering and finished product. I have had many projects that seemed very small and others I felt large but all.. were treated with the same quality workmanship and management services. They are VERY fair in price and the most accommodating on work change orders. Once a project is reviewed, they take the time to ensure my submitted design is accurate. Recently I had a project that was 1/8" off in design but they found it, called me and corrected it before cutting the stock and assembly. Truly a nice company to work with

I've been restoring a 1984 SEA OX 230C, the tank was in need of replacing, it was pitted and soft in spots and although not visibly leaking it did have the smell of gasoline...the choice to change out was clear.
I looked online and came up with several places that could do the job, I chose Luthers, they were close by and had very competitive prices. I gave them the specs and got the tank back earlier than time span to build was quoted. I was amazed at how well this shop welds, everyone who saw the tank was also amazed by the precision of the welds.
I also have to comment on how well I

I had a large marine fuel tank fail and needed a new one to be fabricated from scratch. I consulted the original manufacturer in FL but was also referred to Luthers by local marine technicians. I was concerned about shipping damage and would rather pick one up in person so i checked out Luthers. They offered me the tank in its original design in a heavier gauge thickness, or a custom design that would make install easier. I decided to go with original design and it came out absolutely perfect, identical to my original 153 gallon tank and cheaper than the company in FL. They helped me load it at

Brought a small simple project to them, the owner assured me it was an easy thing. They sat on it for two weeks and finally told me they couldn't do it. Wasted my time, delayed my project, cost me money all because their fabricator was too lazy to get off his chair. They told me that they couldn't weld two pieces of stainless together because they would have to use filler rod. You ALWAYS use filler rod when TIG welding stainless.
A professional would have told me from the beginning that they couldn't be bothered and I'd not have wasted two weeks waiting.
