You go to the doctor regularly, but does your pet? Regular veterinary wellness exams are an integral part of your pet's preventive health care program. A routine examination provides you and your Kanas city area veterinarian with the opportunity to develop a picture of your pet's overall health as well as to spot potential medical issues before they become serious health concerns.
AAHA is an organization that accredits veterinary practices for upholding a simple standard: excellence in everything you do. Participating veterinary hospitals are inspected and tested on approximately 900 different standards of running a next level practice. Because of the exceptionally high requirements, fewer than 15% of practices earn accreditation.

The vet techs and Dr. Sparrow were so thorough and sweet with our little dog, Pumpkin. They were also upfront with all prices. The prices seemed fair to me compared to other vets. They took their time explaining everything and really looking over my little dog. They go over what is best and keep pricing in mind. You can tell they just want what is best for the animals. Thanks for a great first visit. We will be back!

Somerset Animal Hospital is truly the best!! Every staff member is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable!! Our fur babies can get very anxious but they are never nervous coming to Somerset as the staff is so loving and caring!

What can I say about Somerset besides they are the kindest, most caring, and most helpful vet I’ve been to! I recently had to take my pup to the emergency vet and he had hematoma surgery that got infected. Dr. Sparrow and Gabby have been beyond helpful in caring for him, and they’ve shown so much patience and compassion doing it. Dr. Sparrow is extremely knowledgeable, and the whole team really works with you to make sure your pets get the best care possible.

Definitely wish I took my cat here first! I took her to Companion Animal Dentistry who charged me a $150 consultation then gave me the run around & basically refused to schedule an appointment or give me an estimate. Not only did Somerset charge me a lesser consultation price, they scheduled an appointment & gave me an estimate all on the same day. The receptionist & Doctor were very nice, professional & caring. I really appreciate them & highly recommend this place!

We took our new puppy to somerset animal hospital and they were very sweet with her. The vet came out to the car and chatted with us about our new puppy which made us feel much better about our new life of puppy parenting. She answered all of our questions, and we had a lot.
After our visit we received a hand written note from the vet welcoming our pup. We are very confident we made the right choice in going to somerset. A+

I can not say enough about how grateful I am for the professional care and kindness that Dr Betzen and his team provide. He takes his time in explaining options for treatment, and his entire staff are just the kind of people I want to care for my pets. Loved Dr. Betzen! He and Ashley were just great. Our dog is very old and very "opinionated". He needed sedation to get his nails cut, ears cleaned and an exam. They performed a "trick" to get the sedation going that is like nothing I have ever seen before. Almost no stress! All staff speak in plain language and look you in the eye with open kindness. Our dog's ear is healing fast. We will return!
