Bedosagay (Pet-O-Se-Ga), named in honor of the rising sun, was born to the Odawa tribe in 1787. Today, Bedosagay's name is kept alive throughout the region as "Petoskey." Camp Pet-O-Se-Ga was constructed by Jim Templin in the 1930's. Established as a boys camp, the young men were instructed in a variety of activities including athletics, archery, riflery, orienteering, camping and aviation.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the arrival date (prior to the close of the previous business day) will incur a $10 cancellation fee and a refund of the remainder of the camping fees will be given. Cancellations made the day of arrival or later shall forfeit the first night's camping fee and you will incur a $10 cancellation fee.
Camp Petosega's new online reservation system is ready for the 2021 season! Once you begin a reservation, you will have 20 minutes to complete the process. During that time, the system blocks the campsite, cabin, or other rental facility you have chosen so that no one else can reserve it. If registration is not completed with 20 minutes, the system times out and your choices are automatically canceled, making those sites available again.
Camp Petosega has 90 campsites with electricity and water (five of which are pull-through with sewer hook-up), four rustic sites, modern restrooms and showers, seven rental cabins, playgrounds, a beach, and open field game areas. More information on the camp sites and cabins is detailed below. There is a two-night minimum stay and a 14-night maximum stay on all campsite and cabin rentals.
Plan your wedding, business retreat, family reunion, parties, church youth groups and camp gatherings and sports' teams get-togethers at Camp Petosega! Cabin, pavilion and recreation hall deposits are non-refundable if the reservation is canceled at any time. A beautiful pavilion at Camp Pet-O-Se-Ga, near the shore of Pickerel Lake, is available for rent.

This summer was our first stay at Camp Pet-o-se-ga and we were absolutely in awe of this lovely hidden gem in Northern Michigan. The facilities are updated, clean and well-maintained. There is a blend of new and historic structures throughout the park. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and most helpful answering questions during our visit. A special shoutout to Nathan for taking the extra steps to make the stay enjoyable for all of his guests, and the fine job that he and his staff have done to ensure a pleasant experience.
Our family enjoyed every aspect of the campground, from cabins, campsites

This is a wonderful campground very close to Petoskey. Very private and lots of green space. We stayed on the new loop near new bath house (2020). Wow nicest bath house I have ever seen!! Highly recommend the new loop for big rigs (we has site 55 and our 25 ft toy hauler had lots of room). The lake is beautiful and very quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. A 5 star place for sure!

Camp Pet-O-Se-Ga is a place where you can spend quality time outdoors with your family. They have cabins near the lake and playground. My in-laws stayed in cabin no.4 which is perfect. Everything we need is there. Full kitchen, living room, Bathroom with shower, 2 bedrooms (1 with a bunk bed plus extra bed and the other one has a double bed), and a screened porch with a round table for 4. Everything is well maintained, functioning and most importantly clean. This cabin has a front yard where kids and adults can play and also a picnic table. A fire pit is just few steps away from the cabin with

Cabin D. We wanted to share recent photos because the ones on the webpage are outdated. The cabin was nice. No indoor plumbing and no hose access outside however it is placed between two close bathhouses. The private showers for the cabins were nice and clean with hot water(yay). The upstairs gas ten single beds. The floors are slanted so it feels a little off to sleep on. The beds upstairs on just thick foam mats. Downstairs had a nice full size real bed w mattress/boxspring. No pull out couch like the website says. Cabin D has a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, stove, and coffee pot. Overall

This is one of the prettiest parks we have stayed in. The new part has beautiful updated showers compared to the old bathroom across the park. My only complaint is this… we’ve only stayed here twice. Both times at night we had thieves at our site. The first time they stole a half gallon of unopened liquor out of our cooler. The neighbors by us then said they were hit too that night. This past weekend someone tried again as I heard them from going to bed a half hour prior. My husband this time locked our cooler to the stairs and put a chair on top of it. I heard the stairs rattle and the chair

We had a wonderful time there. Pickerel lake is beautiful. We just happend to go when the hot water heater was broke, to the showers by our cabin. But overall great place. Theres walking, biking, swimming beach, playgrounds for kids. That is by the beach and all separate from campsites. Theres a nice dock aluminum dock for fishing or sit on there benches & enjoy the view.
