As a singer, I was joining an opera chorus for the first time and facing a major task of memorization that I'd never tackled before--roughly 90 pages of music in Italian. I was terrified I couldn't do it in the time I had, so much so that it was hard to even begin. Karen's work with me was very quick, and so effective that when rehearsals finally started, I was one of only two chorus members who were completely 'off book' and totally memorized.
