For, like, 5 people you can totally just phone it in. Call the New Bait Shop at 415- 331- 2282, ask for the deli, and expect to come pick up your sandwiches (or salads) in about 30 minutes. This is our most popular, easy, and economic: chef's choice random sandwiches, cut in half, individually wrapped, and well labeled so people can sample.
A prime example of the gourmet sandwich counters popping up in grocery stores around the Bay Area, Davey Jones Deli offers organic, locally sourced, lovingly assembled global-fusion foodstuffs like Mexican-Moroccan meatloaf, coconut curry soup, seasonal fruit salads with fresh mint, vegan wraps brimming with sprouted lentils and dried walnuts, a Punjabi carnitas pulled-pork sandwich, an honest-to-God New Orleans muffaletta and a locally renowned brisket as tender and luscious as a bowl of whipped cream.

Horrible food, literally disgusting sandwiches. The staff taking your order are rude, slow and seemed bothered being there or willing to answer questions. And at the end, the cashier charged us way over what the food cost, if we didn't realize, they would have gotten away with it. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place! Plenty other good places to go.

So I hardly knew a hole in the wall kind of place could even exist in such a ritzy area, but it does. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it was love at first bite. My goodness, was that a good sandwich. I don't think I am allowed to use the words I want to use to describe it. So I got the P3 and the bread was that perfect mix of crunchy on the outside and supple on the inside like a perfect Parisian baguette. The pork was perfection. All the other flavors mixed so perfectly I just kept devouring this thing until it was gone and I was honestly sad when I was done because it was the best thing

If you want the BEST and Freshest Nor. Cal sandwich possible...come by Davey Jones' Deli in what looks to be an inconspicuous liquor store on the opposite side of the freeway from Marin City!! Yes, it's in that odd little mini mall at the Highway on ramp NORTH in Sausalito. Most people are are coming via foot and bikes but also a regular flood of cars circle into this parking lot with a bike shop and smoothies nearby. These sandwiches are SO FRESH because of the TWERKS option of these fresh spiralized veggies. I like Turkey so I go for "The Standard with the Twerks" and my

I've stayed away from the Bait Shop because the first time I went, I ended up with stomach distress (I won't go into it, but I remember it vividly). In fact, a co-worker who was a HUGE eater told me he wouldn't go to the Bait Shop anymore and that was saying something.
I guess it's Davey Jones Deli now, or maybe it always has been. Same place, I got two sandwiches before I went sailing and they were very well put together. The Dutch crunch is fab! No stomach issues, just yum! The turkey avocado was good enough.

My friend picked up the turkey pesto cheese wrap for me for a hike and it was delicious! I appreciated that they cut it in half but I do wish the wrap was a little bigger it was a good size but I felt that I still needed a snack after. I would comeback here again to try the other sandwiches. I like that they use real turkey meat rather than deli meat

This place is inside of a mini mart, and they have great COVID protocols (make you wait outside).
They make the best turkey sandwich: the White Boy Supreme. It's a simple turkey sandwich, but really hits the spot if you're craving something fresh and meaty. They use real turkey pieces too, not sliced deli, which makes it even better.
Mr. L sandwich is great if you want something with a ton of different flavors. It's pricier than the other sandwiches, and personally I don't think its worth the price point, but it was good. You can really taste the weird combo of pesto, bacon

Davey Jones Deli is home to my favorite turkey sandwich. I was a little skeptical of adventuring into a deli attached to a bait store, but I was so happy to be proven wrong. We got Grandma's Turkey sandwich to try and it has hands down the best sandwich I have ever had. When they advertised that they roast their own meats daily, it was no joke. The turkey was the best that I've had, so flavorful and juicy. There was a generous portion tucked inside a perfectly toasted Dutch Crunch roll. While deceivingly simple, the quality of the ingredients transported this sandwich to the next level

I was shocked to see what a great vegetarian and vegan selection this place has. So many amazing options for sandwiches and bowls, and much more creative and flavorful than your typical vegetarian and vegan options at a deli. Very reasonably priced for the area. The rest of the shop has good selections for chips/snacks/drinks. Fast service and friendly people.

Not your average convenience store sandwich shop. Unbelievable Dutch crunch bread, house roasted and smoked meats (their turkey and brisket are on point), and “Twerks” or “Works” fillings that pack the sandwich to the brim. They’re also in a store with just about the biggest beverage selection you can ask for.
I have never been disappointed. It’s also worth mentioning that the staff are just the nicest people.
Owners honestly should consider additional locations or a food truck (they do cater), but they’re just that good.

The Subway we went to across the street ran out of vegetables and needed time to cut them or something, but we are glad to have found this place because of that.
