Services
California-inspired Jewish deli food with roots in tradition and an eye on the future; for Jews who like food and food lovers who like Jews. We make nearly everything in house at Wise Sons, using the best ingredients we can source. Our pastrami & corned beef is made with beef brisket that is NEVER EVER administered hormones or antibiotics.
First comes the poolish, a type of pre-fermentation technique that gives our bagel dough its oomph. We let it sit overnight so it can do its thing. Next we add the remaining ingredients into a giant spiral mixer, and then cut, roll, and form the bagels by hand. The bagels are set aside to proof then retarded in the cooler, which is an important stage as it allows the yeast and the proteins to slowly intermingle for added flavor and texture.
We understand the importance of a livable wage and ensuring that each person is paid for their skills and dedication to his/her work. Wise Sons hourly employees make great tips to go along with his/her hourly wage. For salaried managers, we are conscientious of salary history and getting paid for a job well done.

One of the worst experiences I have had with care, I was greeted by a short stature blond employee with green eyes. the guy was so rude, so rude, that my boyfriend and I couldn't swim and when we went to complain to another girl who seemed to be the manager she said we had other restaurants in town that we could go to. It's unbelievable!

One of the best Jewish delis in SF with a pretty large menu. The food is quite good here but can take a bit longer to get to the table but that’s just because they get a lot of pick up orders. We got the breakfast burrito with salsa, bagel and cream cheese, and potato latkes. The latkes were extremely crispy and paired perfectly with the sour cream and apple sauce. I wish the bagel was a more toasted but it was really good.

Was so excited to finally try this place (as I love pastrami sandwiches) and was shocked at how lackluster it was. I ordered just a basic pastrami sandwich which is just meat and bread and starts at 12.95$ and I added on cheese and some mayo mustard which made it about a 16$ sandwich. I’m thinking this thing must be huge right? Like a bunch of meat on a big roll or something. Nope! It’s just some meat between two dinky little slices of thinly cut bread, and the cheese wasn’t even melted! So in order to get a traditional sandwich with veggies and all that it would come to about 20 bucks and

The everything bagel with salmon spread sounds like a very popular order, I heard it three times in seven minutes while I waited for my pastrami sandwich. The sandwich itself is a bit dry but the pastrami had good flavor. It comes with a potato salad that is super smooth (I know a weird thing to say about potato salad but it is smooth) and delicious! Quick and friendly, come support your local restaurants!

I always wanted to come here but the idea of trying to find parking in the Mission on the weekends kept me away. I'm glad I did. I've had their matzo ball soup and pastrami sandwich at the down town location next to the Jewish Museum. At this location they have fries with pastrami and chipped pickles. The fries were fresh potatoes. Yum!
