Whether you're making the choice for yourself or a loved one, making the right choice is most important. The answer may be different for each of us. Facing the end of life can feel scary, but you don't have to go through it alone. If you've been diagnosed with a terminal illness or have been given a six-month or less prognosis, hospice care might be right for you. Hospice of the Piedmont offers decision guidance and specialized services for those in need.
Services
We believe when families have to make difficult decisions, paying for hospice care shouldn't be one of them. Our focus is on our patients and their families, not profit. Since our services are covered by private insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare, they are almost always available at no cost. And no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay.
Our goal is to provide patients with improved quality of life. We strive to ease caregivers' burdens and stress by providing the tools and resources needed during this difficult time. We're here to support our patients and their families so they can focus on what matters most: living each day to the fullest.

I used to think that a hospice was a place where people went to die. My experience with Hospice of the Piedmont taught me that it was so much more than that.
My wife, Patricia, was being well cared for in the Memory Unit of Rosewood Village but as she declined into helplessness she needed extra care, which was provided by Hospice through daily visits by a nurse and aide. They checked on her, bathed her, and provided all the supplies that she needed. Hospice also provided a hospital bed that could be lowered almost to the floor and a floor pad which, together, kept Patricia from hurting herself

I discovered Hospice of the Piedmont a couple of years ago when my elderly mother was quite ill in the hospital. I had decisions to make about "end of life care" or what I thought was end of life. My mother now 92 is still alive and has been in Hospice care for over 2 years. Hospice of the Piedmont has been and still is exceptional. From the get-go the care, the resources, the on call, the always being there from the social worker, the chaplain and the nurses, (they) let me know they are there for me as well as my mother. For those of you considering hospice, care please know it's not necessarily

Our family has had several experiences working with the staff of Hospice of Piedmont. Each time we have had the most remarkable and wonderful memories. This is such a difficult time as you are watching a loved one pass. The staff knows how to help the individuals as well as their families transition. From helping to arrange for a private screening of a new release movie for my daughter-in laws cousin to making my dear aunt "feel like a queen", our family can not begin to thank this amazing group of angels enough!

My team and I worked with Hospice of The Piedmont to create their informational videos series, and we could not have better things to say about their entire team. Working with them in a business to business capacity allowed us to see some of what goes on behind the scenes. We could not have hoped for a more professional, and easy to work with staff. Every single one of their team members was personable, friendly, and extremely professional. We were blown away by how much each of them truly cares about making a difference and helping people in their challenging times. The depth of compassion and

Hospice of the Piedmont has taken care of many of my family and friends. The staff is exceptional and compassionate. It is never easy to make that first call but they walk you through the journey. They are the oldest Hospice provider in the area and the only non-profit. I wouldn't use anyone else!

I have been a volunteer massage therapist with Hospice of the Piedmont for at least 5 years. I've been impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the excellent volunteer training process. All the staff who are involved with each patient have team meetings so everyone is working together with all the complexities of end-of-life care. I love that the patient's family is also under care with Hospice of the Piedmont, and there are ceremonies and groups to support people through their grieving process, even for teens and children. People experiencing the care they receive often say they wish

Hospice of the Piedmont was the greatest gift we could receive during the last month of my husband, David's, great life. He was admitted to the Hospice House, alleviating great levels of concern for his safety and care, as well as the exhausting level of pain-relief and personal care attention that he required as he lived-out his life with grade IV brain cancer. I now serve HOP as a volunteer bereavement counselor and community promoter for this amazing ministry to all of us living our lives, including death.

My experience with Hospice of the Piedmont, through my father's illness and the care and support we received afterwards, was highly positive. During one of the most difficult times in my life, Hospice provided the resources and support (including a nurse who stayed with us the entire day last day my father was conscious), beyond what I could have known we would need or been able to ask for. After he passed, Hospice's grief counseling and support groups were incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend this Hospice!

My brother spent the final months of his life at Hospice of the Piedmont. During those weeks, the staff in charge of his care were compassionate, caring, and attentive not only to his needs, but also the needs of our entire family as we prepared for his death. The depth of kindness we felt from the Hospice employees and volunteers who spent time with my brother is endless. He was treated with gentleness, love, and dignity to the time leading up to his death, and in the hours that followed. We remain grateful that our final days with my brother were spent in a place filled with warmth, love, and
