We're proud to serve the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding communities, and it's our goal to provide exceptional care to all our patients. Our mission is to provide the best care and service possible by establishing an appropriate rehabilitative plan which meets the needs of the individual.
Dr. Farrar-Hersch, founder of Augusta Audiology Associates, obtained her Master's and Doctorate degrees in Audiology from the University of Virginia. She served eight years on the Virginia Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology and served as its Chair for 5 years. She also served on the Ethics Committee of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
At Augusta Audiology Associates, we offer complete diagnostic testing of the auditory system to patients of all ages. When you come to our office for a hearing evaluation, you will be seen by a licensed, certified audiologist who maintains a high level of education and professionalism.

Your evaluation will involve a thorough review of your symptoms, visual examination of your ears, assessment of middle ear function, and a series of tests to assess your hearing acuity and ability to understand speech.A comprehensive hearing evaluation takes approximately 30 minutes, following which all results are discussed with you and treatment recommendations are made.
Hearing aids are small digital devices worn behind or in the ear. They process sound specifically for a person's hearing loss, allowing them to hear more clearly in quiet and noisy environments. Hearing aids come in various styles and include a number of advanced features that allow the user to hear at their best.
Tinnitus affects approximately 30 million Americans with some 13 million reporting tinnitus without hearing loss. Generally, the prevalence of tinnitus is associated with degree of hearing loss. Augusta Audiology is committed to helping our patients manage their tinnitus by guiding them through available options.

Called this provider on Tuesday. Explained my desire to establish as a patient, having moved into area. Also described an immediate hearing aid repair need. Receptionist requested pertinent contact information and name of current provider. Then asked what make of hearing aids I wear...it isn't a make Augusta Audiology sells, as per their website. Receptionist paused when I mentioned the brand I wear. She then repeated my phone # back to confirm, and said she would tell the audiologist. I then even downloaded their new patient info form and filled it out, confident I would be making an appointment
