Midwest Marine Services is a family business owned by Corey and Elaine Gallman. The company has been in business since 2008 and was founded on a passion for working on boats that began when Corey was a child growing up in the Chicago suburbs. Summer vacations when I was a young child were spent at my parents' cottage in Elcho, Wisconsin.
Our boat detailing and scheduled boat washing services as well as our unique preventative maintenance plans are designed to take the headache out of boat ownership. Our company goal is to make it possible for you to walk out to your boat, put the keys in, and just go.

Midwest Marine Services repairs gas and diesel inboards and sterndrives as well as outboards, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, and generators. We work on anything from skiffs and tenders to sport boats to trawlers and yachts. We know how inconvenient it can be to move your boat for service, so we offer everything a dealership does right at your dock.

Sorry for the misunderstanding it looks like I didint explain my self appropriate I said they steal my money and they actually did. 1st came to my house quote a 9000 service on the boat to get the issues fixed but also need to take the boat out of the water another 1600 and so. When 6000 was charged and the boat out already they just find out what they quoted me was not the right issue and they need to send me another invoice. After all magically the amount they charge me at the beginning become to be the second invoice quotation, not a penny more or less. But guess what when boat arrive to my

Rip Off artists! be very very careful of these guys. They will send you an estimate low balling you then over charge you twice the estimate and blame different issues. RIP OFF! They will try to justify their over charges with all sorts of numbers claiming that the mechanic spent more time than was estimated. They leave the job with Boat Alarms still ON and float alarms still on - and claim they do a fantastic job ! Never ever would recommend or use them again. The worse people to deal with. Excellent service and easy scheduling. Everything was done as described and the boat runs like a Swiss watch. Our oil looks like DJ 1942. We also had a visit from their Zeus Pod specialist and learned more about them in one hour than in the last year. I think we got lucky finding this company.

Did some good maintenance and work for me the last 2 years but pricing has become unreasonable. Now adding 3.5% charge on credit cards, charging $62.50 every time they come out as a "mobile service charge."
Charged $125 to diagnose problem with depth finder not working. Weren't able to find the problem so came out again and charged an additional $125 for further diagnosing. After that, problem still wasn't found and they recommended sending an electrician out. That is when I started looking for someone else.

I found Midwest Marine via a google search and I am glad that I did. In additional to being a reliable company, what I appreciate about a business is when they take the time to respond to reviews. I spoke with Daniel over the phone who was polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. He followed up as he promised and made scheduling the pre-purchase engine compression test easy. Corey was at the boat on time and when I arrived midway through the inspection, he stopped to introduce himself to me and let me know what he did thus far and how much time he had remaining. I would absolutely utilize their services

I own a Formula SS370, and Midwest Marine Services has been maintaining my boat for probably the last dozen years. They are professional, on time, and very responsive(which is very hard to find here in south Florida). In the early years, I just had them service my engines and generator, but in the last several years, they now handle much more, including scheduling details, and other general maintenance items.
I highly recommend Corey(the owner) and his team.

I have been a customer of Midwest Marine for 2 years now, and they've kept my 2008 Boston Whaler w/twin Mercs in top shape! They come to my house for most repairs. Communication with their office staff (estimates, scheduling, etc.) is excellent. Midwest is full-service, and they have crews that will detail (looks showroom new when they're done) your boat as well. Let's all recognize that boats are not a cheap hobby...meaning I expect to pay...but not get taken advantage of. Which is why I appreciate Corey and his team so much..they're fair, and I have never felt over-charged.

I recently moved to Fort Lauderdale from the DC area with my SeaRay 400 EC. I needed extensive work and maintenance done to the boat once it arrived in Florida, and Corey and his team at Midwest Marine came highly recommended through the SeaRay forum.
