Quality red wines start in the vineyard where site selection, aspect and soil type all combine with a little help from Mother Nature to allow fruit to achieve a perfect level of ripeness and balance between acidity and sweetness. Grapes are hand harvested in small lugs and immediately transported to the winery where the magic begins.

We were just driving through the area and staying at a local campground. On our way to the package store, we saw signs for this winery. We've been to 5 or so wineries in PA and to be honest we were not impressed at all. Living in WA, OR, CA we have been to all of the popular and not so popular wine regions (Napa, Willamette, Columbia Valley, etc..). We were not expecting much but the winery itself was very cute and such a beautiful setting. Then we were blown away with how good the wine is! The Pinot was honestly better than quite a few we had in Willamette. The Cab Franc continued to impress,

My daughter and I stopped for some time together. She said the wines were very good since she had been to their winery in Ephrata. She was correct. My Riesling was wonderful not sweet like the traditional Riesling. There was a lovely hillside with chairs and tables...a great setting on a sunny fall afternoon. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stopped in here in early May for a wine tasting and found a place where we instantly felt like home. the people were friendly and welcoming. we struck up conversation with other customers and spent a good amount of time sampling and having great conversation. for a nominal fee we were able to sample all the wines that they have. we wound up purchasing many bottles as the wines were very good! We will be back!
