A Star Is Rising Erly Child Care
Daily activities and curriculum encourage choices of their own while providing opportunities for success. We provide the individualized attention needed in the first challenging years of schooling. We believe in the development of the whole child. Our curriculum is designed to focus on the creative, emotional, intellectual, physical, and social growth of each individual.

The purpose of our approach is to foster competency in the young child. While the emphasis is on children, family involvement and support is encouraged. The term "daycare" is often used interchangeably to mean a babysitting service. This is not A Star Is Rising Early Learning Center; we are so much more than just a daycare!
Services
All staff is required to continue 10 - 20 hours of education training yearly according to state regulations. Teachers spend more time with a given child on a daily base. We are in a unique position to improve children's lives by providing a positive atmosphere for self-expression and self-worth, and fostering our students' talents, strengths, and positive characteristics.
The curriculum was created to provide a foundation that assists in the development of social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth skills that are needed throughout our lives. The program concentrates on academics, fine and gross motor skills, language development, discovery & exploration, and social skills.
Although A Star Is Rising Early Learning Center is not an allergy free center, we acknowledge the importance of severe allergies. We believe that it is important for parents and staff to work together to protect a child with severe allergies and the need to educate a child with allergies so they can successfully learn how to live in a group environment.
Our toddlers are like sponges that are eager to learn. Everything is fascinating. Their walking, language and learning skills are emerging so our program is designed to add to that development. While preparing for our first step into pre-school, our activities include circle time with monthly themes, songs, outdoor play, art, simple math, and science concepts, and lots of play time which is a learning tool within itself.
Our three-year-old children are constantly changing and growing in our world. Our program is set up to satisfy their changes and answer the many questions they have about the world around them. The daily activities and curriculum encourage choices of their own while providing daily opportunities for success.

My daughter started here when school shut down during the pandemic, and continued for summer camp. She has a blast! This facility doesnt only focus on their smallest students they include the older ones as well which was a big relief. Ms. Franny and her staff are super creative with their weekly themes and original activities. when my daughter was doing virtual school here the wifi didnt pose an issue either and they were very great with helping her navigate things online. They also are very adamant about limited screen time (aside from learning programs) which i am so thankful for. some places

Absolutely the best Daycare in Dumont. I had both my kids with them. They do so many activities with the kids and prepare them so well for kindergarten. I can only say good things about the Dumont location. Parents you can rest assured your kids are in great hands!!

I can’t express how grateful I am for “A star is rising” in Dumont. The teachers take a personal approach on each child, to teach and guide them in every way. From day to day tasks to future lessons.
My 3 year old daughter not only surprises us but others as well. From her independence, her ability to express herself, to how she is disciplined. I contribute it to “A star is rising”. Miss Frannie, Miss Bonnie, and Miss Veronica are an amazing team for my daughter. Thank you!

My child is currently enrolled. This is his second year at A Star Is Rising *Dumont Location. Words don't express how thankful I am for the attentive care they give my child. He's learned so much from his teachers. If you would let him, he would go to school on the weekends. With that being said that says a lot about the teachers. There's nothing negative I can say because we have only had positive things. I can guarantee you your child will enjoy this school. Learning is important and the teachers teach these children what is needed to know to be prepared for Kindergarten. The atmosphere is exceptional

My husband and I registered our son months ago for this location. We wanted to start him Monday and one look at my child and they say" they had no space" my son has some special need problems that are being worked on with therapy and classes and they declined him because of that. We could see ourselves there weren't many kids so knowing they lied. They discriminated my child for how he is. When we realized all the kids where bunched in one classroom, we weren't sure if we even wanted to send him here. Where the classrooms are suppose to be are under construction and everything has a horrible smell

I am a parent and I have sent my daughter here from when she was 1 year old until she was in PRE-K ready to go off to kindergarten (which she was over prepared for because of the amazing curriculum and teaching). This branch was not open yet but all the teachers and the owner transferred to open this location. The owner Frannie taught my daughter and EVERY teacher at this daycare treated my daughter as if she was their own. The preparedness for kindergarten, development and how much she learned over the years was above anything I could have expected. I now send my 8 month old baby girl to a star

I have a four year old son and I have sent him to this day care center almost month and a half.
One day, they call me and said that, my son got scratched in his chick and I received a picture. After I saw the picture I called them again. I thought it’s an accident and while I was talking at the phone to my sons teacher she repeatedly said that “ I didn’t hit him” and I said that I am not accusing her but she repeated again and again. I sent my wife ( I was working in the city) to there to get my son and when she get there my son obviously said that his teacher Barbara hit him. He even
