Class placement takes place every season and is at the discretion of the director. Changes are made to benefit the student and is according to training, ability, effort, self-confidence and age. Age does not always matter. Our dance studio is open for regular scheduled classes on many holidays that are observed by district schools & businesses.
Please make sure your dancer attends class on these dates. At this level the dancer is learning a whole new structure during their warm up exercises and throughout the entire class. In ballet the student is introduced to a more involved ballet barre and terminology. The tap class involves more. This level definitely steps it up.

Services
Dance Fantasies Dance Studio has been family-owned and operated since 1990. From our humble beginning on the corner of Fifth and Olivia Street in Derby, CT, we have moved on up to Main Street and never looked back. Each student has a story to tell and we are honored to help them accomplish this through the art of dance.
Dance Fantasies Dance Studio puts on an Annual Recital, typically towards the end of June. Date is confirmed early in the dance season so that families may plan accordingly for summer travel and related activities. Ticket purchases for the recital are designated according to the order of student registration in the Fall; a date and time will be provided in late Spring.
Please Note: Dance Fantasies is open for regular scheduled classes on many holidays that are observed by district schools & businesses. Please make sure your dancer attends class on these dates. On snowdays, cancelled class announcments will be emailed, posted on our Facebook page, and televised on WTNH Channel 8. Sometimes class is still in session if the snow stops early in the morning, on a school day.
This event was sponsored by the program Dylan's Wings of Change. The Wingman foundation was formed to honor the memory of Dylan Hockley, a Sandy Hook victim who had autism. The Wingman program brings awareness and benefits all children with autism. This was a beautiful day. We really enjoyed it and are looking forward to the next event.
We are now beginning our 32nd dance season. Thank you for choosing our studio for your dance experience. It is important to us that we provide you with an opportunity to meet your goals and ability. Dance Fantasies is a place where your dancer will learn technique, have fun and make friends for life.

Attending Dance Fantasies truly improved my skills and quality of tap dancing. I was able to do things I never thought I could. Miss Michele is an exteremely hardworking teacher and her instruction is invaluable to those passionate about dance. She wants to see everyone succeed. I've enjoyed my 6 years at Dance Fantasies both as a student and graduate dancer.
