Mills Manor is located in the former Elders Home building in New York Mills, MN. The building is structurally the same, but we have been making some changes to give some areas a fresh look. If you are familiar with the former building you will may notice some new paint colors, flooring and updates throughout the building.
The New York Mills community has been very welcoming and we are enjoying being a member of the community. We strive to be a vital part of the New York Mills community. Our residents enjoy simplified, monthly charges. The rent charge is based on the room selection and the monthly service fee is based on an assessment of care needs by a Registered Nurse.

Don't send your loved one here. Patient I know is not being taken care of at all. He has been in pain and nothing is being done. Only one real nurse that is "on call" and not available all the time. The rest of the staff cannot give medical help because they aren't licensed. Workers just stand around and don't help at all.
Room is disgusting. There is dirt all over the place, puke on the walls that has been there for a long time, floors had something on them that we couldn't tell what it was. No one seems to care.
If you want your loved one to be care for at all, please send them somewhere else

The staff are very caring and sensitive to their residents. I have had no negative vibes from management. They are always happy to answer any questions and listen to family concerns. Mom is happy there. I know others who are in there and they seem happy. Nursing and being caregivers is not n easy job and most of the time these people are under appreciated.
