Services
If your smile has been damaged by accident, decay, or disease, Tatum Creek Family Dentistry can provide modern, aesthetic restorations. From simple fillings to full-mouth reconstruction, we deliver natural-looking, fully-functional results for optimum oral health and comfort. In the past, if you had a decayed or fractured tooth it meant compromising your all-white smile with metal restorations.
Every time you open a magazine or turn on the television, you see people with perfectly aligned, brilliantly white smiles. You may think it's good genetics, but the truth is most people are not born with their vision of an ideal smile. Whether your concerns are purely cosmetic or strictly functionality, in just two visits, Dr. McKinney and Dr. Putnam can transform your smile.
Both crowns and most bridges are fixed prosthetic devices. Unlike removable devices such as dentures, which you can take out and clean daily, crowns and bridges are cemented onto existing teeth or implants, and can only be removed by a dentist. How do Crowns Work? A crown is used to entirely cover or "cap" a damaged tooth.
Dental implants are actually a series of procedures used to recreate a missing tooth. The key part of a dental implant is the initial titanium implant which sits in the original tooth's bone pocket, or alveolus. The titanium works well with the bone and actually forms a bond with it over time, much like the original bond between the tooth and the jaw bone.
Accidents happen, and knowing what to do when one occurs can mean the difference between saving and losing a tooth. Here are some common dental emergencies and how to deal with them. For all dental emergencies, it's important to visit your dentist as soon as possible. Most dentists reserve time in their daily schedules for emergency patients so be sure to call your dentist and provide as much detail as you can about your condition.

This family dentist is the WORST. If there was an option to give zero stars, I would. The staff, especially Callie, the older lady at the front desk, do not have any customer service skills whatsoever. She is rude and very condescending. She has been rude over the phone multiple times with me. The first time, I scheduled a cleaning appointment 6 months in advance. After 6 months came by, I had accidentally forgotten about my appointment. Usually, I get confirmation calls a day or two before any appointment I have scheduled. Callie called me that morning in a very disrespectful tone telling me that

Dr. Erin McKinney is exceptional in everything she does! I consider Erin to be an extension of my family. I am endlessly grateful, and I can easily give full credit to her, when I get to leave the office with a big smile. I would also love to shoutout Shaleen, who was my hygienist this last visit - she is amazing, very thorough, and provided me with the best teeth cleaning of my life! Also, Amanda has always gone above and beyond to get me scheduled for my appointments and making the check-in and check-out experience smooth and hassle free! ❤️ This dental office earns my highest recommendation

My wife and I have been going for dental care at Tatum Creek Family Dentistry for 14 years. There is no dental facility that can compare to the treatment and care provided. Dr. McKinney is the best dentist I have ever gone to in my 73 years. Dental hygienists like Shaleen make you feel comfortable and at home while providing excellent care. I recommend highly Tatum Creek Family Dentistry. They treat you like family.

I moved to the area when I retired 8 years ago. I needed a dentist, so I started looking at the reviews. This office had really good reviews, plus it had a majority female staff. Maybe I'm a male chavinist, but I think women have more apathy than men. This is a important to me when it comes to health and dental care. Dr. Putnam and Dr. McKinney are top notch! I've have all of my dental care done here for the last at 8 years. Even had to call Dr. Putnam on his personal line when my temporary filling came out over Easter weekend. In the end, it turned out not to be a big deal. But, it was comforting

Absolutely amazing!! First visit and I loved it. (And I don’t like the dentist 😉) Mary cleaned my teeth and was so gentle and fantastic. My gums don’t hurt at all which never happens! She was great. Dr. Putnam did a new filling in a tooth that had one fall out. Barely felt the numbing shot and he was done so quickly and efficiently. To make the whole experience that much better it didn’t cost a ton! Such a nice change since I don’t have dental insurance! 100% go see these guys!
