Services
Dr. Lorena Salcedo earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Brownsville. She then went to dental school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. After dental school, she practiced general dentistry for a couple of years at a Community Health Center where she found her passion for treating children.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Dental Associations recommends children visit a dentist by their first birthday. Our office is strong believer in this recommendation and has seen the advantages to having children seen at this age. Early visits give us time to identify and reduce any risk factors we may find that could lead to unhealthy teeth.
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
For more information concerning pediatric dentistry, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.

Thank God I went to another dentist! Never again coming to this dentist! EVER! I’m originally from agua dental but since my son needed special treatment for his teeth they recommended us here & let me tell you my bad experience. We came & he just needed work on his 4 front teeth come to realize she said he needed over 7 other teeth besides the original 4 he needed to get treatment. Me “iffy” about it I said let me think about it. I took him else where (rodeo dental in San Benito TX) came to realize he only needed the 4 front teeth work ONLY! Plus they did his procedure in 2 days. This people

I loved the service they gave my daughter. she is 4 years old and talks non-stop. The assistant (Liz) was very patient to explain and tell her in detail everything that was going to be done. Not being enough, the assistant answered the questions that my daughter had. (You can imagine the questions of a 4-year-old girl)
Dr. Salceso was just as attentive to my daughter, she was patient and understanding. DR. told her that she had to brush her teeth more often(something I always say😑) but since THE DOCTOR OF THE TEETH (as she calls her) told her, my daughter seemed like if she will obey.😁
