Services
Most sites are pull-throughs and all include FHU and WIFI. You may request a specific site, however, it is never guaranteed and at our discretion. The RV Park is located on the Lodge Side of the Highway. Each site has full hook ups. No matter which space you choose, you will have an amazing view of the towering cliffs, horses in the pasture, and a family of rams that like to frequent the park.
Come enjoy world class fishing, whitewater boating, mountain biking, climbing, hiking and more! The Rio Grande County Museum is a small museum that allows visitors to learn about local history. There are a variety of exhibits, each with unique themes, that change periodically, so you can visit again and again and learn something new.
This is an experience you should not miss! We have beautiful scenic trails that cross over the Rio Grande River into the mountains. Our wrangler John Whitney has been with us over 30 years! He takes the time to make sure everyone truly gets to experience the beautiful scenery in this area, and will even help with the many requested photo opportunities at the different overlooks.
The stretch of the Rio Grande river through Cottonwood Cove is known by fisherman all over the country. It is famous for the Salmon Fly Hatch which generally happens around mid June. The river is classified as "Gold Metal Water" which means the catch and release of Rainbow Trout is mandatory.
Cottonwood Cove guests get exclusive access to over 1/4 mile of private water, giving you tons of opportunity for that "perfect picture" you won't have to exaggerate.A fishing license is required by Colorado State Law, and can be purchased in Creede or South Fork. Well stocked lakes and reservoirs also surround this area of Colorado so you are sure to find what you are looking for!

Our Jeeps are ready for the High Country. We have 3 to choose from, all of which are 4 door, 4 wheel drive and hold 5 people. The Jeeps can be picked up at 7 am and must be returned by 6 pm that night, unless other arrangements have been made with front desk attendant to pick up the night before. Hard tops, if taken off, must be kept in bags supplied in the back so as to avoid scratches.

I personally love the Cove! As I have a history with this beautiful place that goes back some 14 years ago.. Great owners and staff both friendly and helpful. Clean, stocked cabins with gorgeous views of the steep mountains and cliffs all around. Wonderful trout fishing on site! Dog friendly as well! Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to the lack of staff. (Not just there. Every restaurant I know including where I work in WI is having this issue.) I have no doubts that working for the Cottonwood Cove would be a great experience. As it was 14 yrs ago. So, if you're a local don't hesitate

Stayed in cabin 2 twice now this past year. Loved it both times! The person who complained earlier must be too used to their amenities. It’s advertised as a rustic cabin, you’re not going to have everything you have at home obviously. Accordion style doors have now been installed on the bedrooms, very nice. There is no need for heat or ac in the summertime (another complaint from the same reviewer earlier), high 70s during the day and low 50s at night. If it gets warm, just open a few windows and use the fans provided, not that hard. If you absolutely need heat, it’s VERY easy to light the

Cute little cabins with everything you need, pots and pans in a kitchen. TV with cable. Wifi. There was a gift shop with ice cream, Amish hand pies and basic food like pizza, hot dogs etc. Only complaint was the bed was hard, there was some road noise and headlights coming through the windows and the bathroom was comically small. The shower head was at my husband's chest level and he's well under 6 feet tall

So sad there will be no cook this summer! My family is very disappointed that we can't go there for catfish this year. We go every summer except last summer and this summer! It's a family tradition! I spoke to the new owner and she assured me that there would be a cook for next summer!
I did buy the cutest crossbody purse. They do have some of the best gifts! They are still serving ice cream!!

When we stayed at cabin number 2. This was our 1st trip to Cottonwood Cove last Sept. The weather was beautiful! The cabin was very clean and we loved the rustic feeling of the cabin, with all the modern conveniences. The staff at this time, they were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Hopefully we will be able to go there again, and hopefully we can stay in the same cabin if it is available.

In March I talked with a co owner, Candy Burger, about having my wedding there all was good and we were given an affordable price with amazing views. We were ecstatic. On May 1st we went up and paid for everything. They told us that day that it was the first day they were open to the public. We spent hours going over the details and were promised and we paid in full for the pavilion, a spot by the river to get married, a cabin for 2 nights. It seemed too good to be true. 42 days later, exactly one week before our wedding on June 19, 2021 we got a call from the same co owner, Candy Burger, we had

Let me first say, the location is BEAUTIFUL. However, my husband, sister and brother-in-law and I stayed in cabin 2 for a family reunion and it was a bit… rough. It was a two bedroom, one bathroom cabin and there was something pretty major missing in the cabin: the doors to the bedrooms. There was also no AC or heat available at the time, so it was burning up during the day and freezing at night. The shower head was also about 5 feet 5 inches tall, so if you’re tall, good luck showering! We had the opportunity to go into the other cabins that some family members were staying in and those were

I have previously stayed at Cottonwood Cove, the rooms are rustic but clean and comfortable. Very affordable for a family and very family friendly. The breakfast buffet was hearty and a country spread. They have a playground and picnic areas and kids can roam. 1/2 of the cabins are by the river and they offer river rafting and horse back riding, so many options. I will stay here again.

My husband I stayed in Cabin 28 the first part on August, 2019. We had reservations for 5 nights. It was obviously one of the cabins that had not been renovated. It was dark, old and had only three electrical outlets that worked throughout the cabin. Even though it was warm during the day, it got cold at night. There was one small space heater in the place. However, you couldn't plug it into the kitchen outlet, since all of the kitchen appliances were on one plug with an extension. Plugging in the heater caused the circuit to break and there were only two other working outlets that were ungrounded

Cottonwood Cove was beautiful! Eddy and Brenda are great hosts! Our cabin was one of the newer cabins and the story of how it came about was displayed on the wall. The tongue in groove on the walls and all the cabinetry was very well done. We walked in and instantly felt comfy, almost like home. After traveling all day it was so nice to be able to walk in and instantly relax. The full kitchen and bath were a nice bonus. We didn't have to eat or if we didn't want to. Although, the catfish and the fried chicken at the restaurant was very tasty. Oh, and they have huge portions of

We shared a cheeseburger. It was very good. If you're short of time go somewhere else as they are very slow even without a lot of customers.
A few days later we stopped at 10:08 for breakfast. They cut it off at 10 and were turning people away. Said they had to get ready for lunch at 11.
The cheeseburger would have earned 4 stars. Their 10 am cutoff policy, one star. It's a fairly long drive up there for most people so I don't plan to risk it again.

You can't go wrong when you choose the Cottonwood Cove for your vacation destination. Amazing scenery, fishing, rafting, horseback riding, Jeep rentals, it's Colorado the way you remembered it as a kid. The friendly staff make you feel like you're one of the family. Our next visit can't happen soon enough!

My fiancé and I recently stayed at Cottonwood Cove. We booked this trip month in advance and were mostly disappointed with our short vacation trip from Littleton to Creede.
The scenery was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The small town atmosphere of Creede and South Fork made up for the disappointing experience at Cottonwood Cove Guest Ranch. I would highly recommend the area but not Cottonwood Cove Ranch as lodging.
The unfriendly signs such in the gift shop right next to the check in desk read " You break it, you buy it" or "We have the right to refuse service to anyone"

This is a nice little riverside retreat with cabins and RV parking. It's old but fairly neat and tidy. We made the mistake of not looking at our cabin before checking in. We got a cabin that was behind the restaurant - no view and the obnoxious smells from the kitchen exhaust fan. When you don't have AC, you have to leave the windows open, but it was just too stinky. Not having a view and ruining the smell of the mountains sort of defeats staying in a mountain cabin. The inside of the cabin was a little dumpy, but it was built in the 40's so.... Don't stay in cabin 9. Insist
