Services
From early spring to late fall, Fun Valley has some of the finest pond and stream fishing to be found. Whether it's fishing on the 1.5 miles of the South Fork of the Rio Grande River that runs through the park or fishing in one of the many small ponds within the park, Fun Valley fishing will not disappoint!
Tubing down the South Fork of the Rio Grande River is one of the many things that our guests enjoy here at Fun Valley. Whether you bring your own tube or rent one of ours, we bet you will agree that tubing through the park is absolutely great FUN! You may "START" your float at the west end of our property and "EXIT" at the beach area on the east.
From t-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts, to jewelry, toys, and knives, the Fun Valley Gift Shop has something for everyone to help you remember your vacation! Need some eggs and bread for French toast in the morning? Enjoy fresh Amish baked pastries? Or some ice, soft drinks, paper goods, firewood for picnic?
Because our guests and their vacation experience are so important to us, we hire the best employees. Many of our employees were first guests here in the resort and made the decision to be a part of building an atmosphere where families, young and old alike, can create lifelong memories. We hire a variety of individuals who have different personalities, different skill sets, come from different backgrounds all with the same purpose.

So the positives... The park is beautiful there's tons of things to do for kids paddle boats putt putt golf volleyball all kinds of things. Brought three teenshere and they loved it. There's a restaurant and snack shop snd stores! great fun

now the cons ...the spaces are very tight they have people jammed in there together some have fire pits, some do not, some have tables, some do
not you don't know what you're going to get. There is no pond for a dog to swim in despite the fact they have many many ponds. You have to take them outside the park to the river. Our dogs are

I was invited to tag along on a family vacation and I must say this was such an amazing week.

There is no wifi or cellular access and we really got to disconnect and enjoy campfires, hikes, and family time.

We stayed in the Mountain View Cabins and they are spacious and had everything we needed. Everyone is so nice and welcoming.

The property had everything we needed: bike rentals, golf cart rentals, a restaurant, a convenience store, a gift shop, and a laundry mat.

I do recommend that you bring a laptop or tablet with shows downloaded for view during rain or other downtime. Campfire movie

What a wonderful find. On our recent trip to Estes Park we found this little gem of a place. We did not have a reservation but it was no problem. Got us checked in and in a site so quickly. It was beautiful scenery. The restaurant in the morning was really good. The grounds are huge and well maintained. I wish we were staying more than just one night. Hopefully we will return one day.

We visited fun valley the first week of June, right after they opened (they open end of May). It wasn't nearly as busy as some people describe in later months. In my opinion early June is the best time to come. It's still warm enough during the day and it's great warming up around the fire at night.

Highlights:
1) Great river front spots for RV's. We were on the end of a row so only had neighbors on one side. The best spots are hard to get so reserve early.

2) Great location - easy access to Creede (awesome little town to walk around in and explore the shops/restaurants)

Have been every summer since 83 I loved it more than life then Mack passed his daughter and son in law inherited it and like most trust fund babies ran it into the ground. They finally sold it to a person that seems to care. Things are looking up. I hope it keeps cleaning up its act.

Love this place, family has camped here for years.
This year decided to rent the large cabin.
We all enjoyed it more than camping.
Staff in office and at snack shack were friendliest.
Lots to do here but we also planned our own entertainment.
We ate at snack bar most of the time. Try pickle pops!!
Played GaGa its free- ask at rec hall for the instructions- so fun!!
We always go in August when the peak rush has calmed down a bit.

Fun Valley is a great place to vacation, but when it comes to food save your money and don't eat at the cafe. Tonight was chicken fried steak night - it was uneatable - burnt, chewy, disgusting - for $9. The snack bar does burgers and ice cream well, just steer clear of the fries - served cold and burnt.

I grew up visiting Fun Valley almost every summer and now I'm taking my own kids! It's a beautiful, safe, fun place to vacation for all ages. There are lots of families and retirees. There are kids running around like crazy, curfew is 10:30, and you can't display alcohol, so this is not really the place for you if you're looking for a party scene.
There are now tags you wear around your neck that can be swiped anywhere in the park and used as money, then you actually pay for everything before you check out. It was really convenient not having to carry cash around. Speaking

Fun Valley used to be a very great place to go camping. the last 5 years have been very disappointing for my family and I. I have been coming to fun valley for over 20 years. There rules are getting ridicules. you used to be able to bring a Polaris and drive it around the park they changed that this year. They also have a RC track for RC cars but since mine is gas powered they wouldn't let me use it which i understand if there was other kids playing on the track. When I drove mine I was the only one using it with some kids watching because they thought it was cool. Also if you bring a boat

So, let me start by saying that upon my first impression, I was disappointed. What I had envisioned as Fun Valley was more like Sardine Valley. Our campsite, #811, was at the back of the property and we were certain we would have ample space and be away from crowding but found that we were less than 12ft from camper to camper and several spots once had campfires and the ground was a mix of dusty dirt and black ash. After the initial disappointment of crowding, we really did enjoy ourselves and took full advantage of the fun to be had. We tubed, played on the beach, fly-fished, fished the ponds

I have come here since I was a kid in the early '80s. We were sad to see the Henson family sell it a few years ago, but are thankful a group of investors bought it with the intention of maintaining the spirit and atmosphere the Henson family created. This year they outlawed the use of UTV's within the park for safety reasons. We were very disappointed but after a few days of serene quiet around the park, we realized it wasn't such a bad thing after all! The new owners have really invested in the park and we are so happy with the improvements that still maintain the history

This RV park is definitely NOT big rig friendly. We have a 43' Allegro Bus. The spaces are so close together I could literally stick my hand out our window and touch the neighbors camper! This campground is also in great need of updating. The campground was built in 1959 and most of their facilities look like they are original. The campsites are grass and poorly maintained. It had been raining a lot while we were there and it was becoming a mud pit. We left 2 days earlier than when we were scheduled to leave because we were concerned that if we didn't, we would not be able to get out

I stayed for a week with my family and from the moment I checked in nothing was right. First I made a reservation six months in advance for a motel with kitchenette, but when I got there they had no record of it and put me in a tiny camper. When I checked in they made me pay my balance of $285 and at checkout had a $0 balance. Fast forward to now a week later and I check my bank account and they've charged me an additional $238 as of yesterday. Funny because I haven't been in Colorado for four days now! I called and spoke to a woman who said she can see the issue and they've been

New ownership = train wreck with this year's reservations. Two families in our party were told that their reservations made ONE YEAR AGO are now "overbooked". When we offered to scan and email a copy of our reservation card we were told by the new management "that was a contract between you and the old owners". Really? What about the deposit we made? We've been coming to Fun Valley for 25 years and have never had any issues with reservations. Very disappointed.

I have been coming to Fun Valley since I was a kid and it hasn't changed much at all. The best thing about this resort is that you feel like you are at home. Everyone is so nice and everyone you meet is willing to share a story or a conversation with you. The scenery is breathtaking and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I know other reviews online say the older people that work and help run the resort are cranky but I've really never had a bad experience myself with anyone. But, I also think the kinder you are to people...the harder it is for them to be cranky to you.

Here we come Fun Valley! It's my first time here and I did my best to research the amenities before we arrived, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find a lot of information, so hopefully this review will help you if you're also wondering, "what is fun valley?"

There was seven of us, we stayed six nights in the three bedroom cabin (#22) and we LOVED it. It was relaxing, quiet, safe, comfortable, and fun! You can rent a cabin (availability can be slim), rent an RV, bring your RV or tent, or reserve a hotel room.

Our stay was during the last week they were open for the
