Boston Back Rehab Center
We're all finding that staying at home creates a range of challenges in our lives - one of which is that we're sitting more than usual, and being sedentary can cause many problems for our necks and backs. But you can avoid them! We've put together these simple. Dr. Fay Maneii, the founder of Boston Back Rehab Center, is a licensed physical therapist in Massachusetts and a board-certified Allied Health Professional.

With over 15 years of clinical experience in adult orthopedics, primarily lower back pain problems, she has gained the expertise and knowledge to treat nearly all conditions causing back pain. Over the years, she has been consulted by many of her colleagues and clients on a wide variety of back problems and treatment approaches.
Services
Everything is connected! Conditions such as TMJ, headaches, and neck pain can be related to back issues. Understanding the interconnectedness of neck pain, back pain, headaches, and TMJ allows us to be fully focused on the holistic needs of our patients.

We help our patients sustain their rehab gains and achieve a higher level of fitness and independence, using innovative, research-based rehabilitation, Pilates and yoga exercise classes, massage, and health coaching. Our practice offers group and individual Pilates designed specifically for people with spinal issues.
Dry needling is an effective treatment option to address soft tissue impairments. It is called dry because no medications such as hydrocortisone or Novocain (often used by physicians) are used. Our classes are focused on increasing your strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and body awareness.
At Boston Back Rehab Center we focus on providing physical therapy that treats an array of common back, neck and TMJ issues. Each patient will go through a thorough and comprehensive musculoskeletal evaluation by a physical therapist who specializes in spine, in order to identify the cause/s of the pain.
Massage therapy is manual mobilization of your soft tissues to enhance blood circulation, provide relaxation, promote healing and help overall well-being. People seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons - to reduce stress and anxiety, relax muscles, rehabilitate injuries, reduce pain, and promote overall health and wellness.
The Individual Pilates session is designed for patients who are ready to adopt a higher level of physical conditioning, using an exercise program that will not provoke their back pain. After a thorough physical therapy evaluation to determine the appropriateness of starting Reformer Pilates, a certified Reformer physical therapist will work one-on-one with each patient to achieve better physical conditioning and balance of the spine.

I am so grateful I found Boston Back Rehab Center. I went to Boston Back Rehab after 10 years of chronic back pain. Through a combination of dry needling with Fay, massage therapy with Yinh, and the Zoom pilates sessions I finally got rid of tension I'd had in my back for over 10 years. The sessions at Boston Back Rehab is the best solution I have found that has helped me alleviate my back pain. Thank you!

I was referred to Fay from Amy my pilates instructor for chronic left hip pain that I had for years. I had been to other PT’s in the past that never spent the time and evaluated me the way that Fay did. Fay is very attentive, great at explaining what is going on with your problem area and really works to get to the root of the problem. Between PT with Fay, pilates with Amy and massage therapy with Yinh I am on the road to recovery and feel very fortunate to have each of them as such great experts and resources.

Fay is a compassionate and dedicated back pain expert. She has helped rehab me and my daughter. In addition to her individual therapeutic sessions, she offers a Pilates class to her clients to help strengthen core muscles -- key to ongoing back and body health. Even during the pandemic, she has offered these small group classes via Zoom as well as individualized private sessions for those who need them. LOVE these classes and so appreciate her knowledge and expertise.

I have been taking Pilates for Healthy Bones classes at Boston Back Rehab Center with Amy for about a year. First in the studio, then through Zoom since February. The classes are terrific! Amy is a wonderful instructor. She explains and demonstrates each exercise in such a way that makes it easy to do the exercises properly and understand how and why the movements help to strengthen the core and protect back, hips and skeletal system. I feel that my posture has improved and my core has gotten stronger since I started these classes. An added bonus is that Amy has a fabulous personality and makes

I don't know if I've ever gotten a more thorough and on-point exam than I did when consulting with Fay. Unlike a lot of providers, she takes ample time to listen to your story, test your range of motion, and explain how rehabilitative exercises should be done. On my first visit, she was able to figure out what was causing my facet joint pain and the exercises she prescribed eliminated the pain completely within 3-4 weeks. Fay was also quick to respond to any additional questions I had via email. Pretty much everyone in my family has seen Fay at some point or another for physical issues (we're an

I had 8 sessions with Fay and she can work wonders adjusting joints in my back and neck. My back is now a lot more flexible and she fixed my neck in just a few minutes; results I never got from any chiropractic visit before. The exercises she gave me for my back have made a big difference and it feels great after I go through the sequence. Fay is very personable and caring. She has a tremendous knowledge in the spine! I will miss going to my appointments... I will still stick around for the Pilates classes that is offered through her office to prevent future injuries.

Fay at Boston Back Rehab helped me with scoliosis and arthritis issues immediately. Unlike other therapists and doctors that I had seen, she took the time to ask questions, not only at my first appointment, but each week when we met. After only 6 visits, I am doing exercises specifically tailored to my needs, and they have improved my posture, made me stronger, and alleviated my pain. I cannot recommend Boston Back highly enough! Fay is kind and caring, extremely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with!

I can't say enough great things about Faye, and the program she runs at the Boston Back Rehab Center. Her extensive knowledge about physical therapy, and especially rehabilitating issues in the spine, coupled with her Pilates training -- make her unique in the field. Not only did I experience tremendous relief with my chronic SI joint issues in just 2 visits with Faye, but she gave me tools to help me deal with pain on a regular basis. As a Pilates instructor I work with a lot of individuals with back discomfort and I refer many of them to the Boston Back Rehab Center.

I have had disc issues and back pain for years. I have tried various chiropractors and osteopaths, and nothing seemed to help. Then a friend referred me to Fay. She made a very thorough exam of back and was able to identify the root cause of my pain. In 5-6 sessions, my pain was gone, and I was able to move and do everything I wanted again. She also worked with me on exercises to do at home regularly, to strengthen back & my core. And it has all worked perfectly for me.
Fay is the nicest person, she is very kind and gentle. I highly recommend her !

I experienced daily pain in my back and leg along with muscle weakness on my right side. I spent 4 months going to Spaulding without seeing any results so a colleague recommended me to Fay. Upon my initial consultation, I knew Fay was different. She gave the most thorough evaluation I've ever had, in which she found my right hip was out of alignment. Fay is extremely knowledgeable about the body and is truly a gem. I still have a ways to go to heal but with the exercises and education Fay gave me, I'm confident my pain will soon be completely gone. My pain significantly decreased after seeing Fay
