Catskillist is a curated, cross-platform listing of the best in local live music, arts, special events and quirky, fun stuff. We created Catskillist because we're passionate about the awesome people and amazing things going on here in the Catskills region. This is a vibrant, magical place that more and more people are visiting, vacationing in and calling home.
Every day it seems like another great little show, special event or funky market is popping up. We've got festivals in Phoenicia and the ski resorts, clubs in Kingston and Woodstock, street crawls in Saugerties, random celebrations in Rosendale - and that's just the start of it. It's hard to keep it all on the radar, whether you're a longtime local or an Airbnb weekender.

Services
The Station became a Woodstock mainstay the day it opened. It's housed in an antique train station, filled with weird, quirky stuff, excellent libations from local microbreweries and distilleries, and run by the nicest folks you'll ever meet. They have great live music, both inside and on the funky patio, under the stern gaze of 1920's bathing beauties (check out the mural - everyone has their favorite).
After a calamitous episode of Hotel Impossible nailed the coffin shut on the former Woodstock Lodge property, new owners swooped in to rescue and rehab the place, and The Lodge was born. A small room with a big fireplace and cozy vibe, The Lodge is live, local and late night. They offer up weekly music events, bands, DJ and dance nights, in a mix that spans reggae to rock.
The Harmony Caf, more of a bar than cafe, is part of the Wok 'N Roll building. Owner Sha Wu, first brought to Woodstock by the late impresario Albert Grossman, does his part to keep live music going locally by booking six nights a week. It's a regular spot for rock and bluegrass bands, open mic, poetry readings and the like.
Woodstock's Catskill Mountain Pizza books in consistently high quality live music in the back dining room and bar; mostly jazz, bluegrass and rock. You can chow down on fairly priced, high quality meals, really good pizza (we're addicted to the Margherita), have a beer and listen to some of the best, seasoned local musicians doing their thing.
