With my background as a seasoned musician, I carefully choose music while reading the energy on the dance floor. Together we work as partners on your wedding music. About a month before your wedding date, we have what I call a "listening party." Are you torn between having live music or a DJ for your Hudson Valley Wedding? Well with Jimmy you can have both! His acoustic set includes an intimate medley of songs from artists such as: the Beatles, Elton John, the Eagles, Billy Joel, Old Crow Medicine Band, the Lumineers, Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, Frankie Valli, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen and more!.
We couldn't have picked a better person to DJ our wedding. At first, I decided to use Jimmy simply because I had a good feel from him on our first phone conversation. He made it clear that he was not cheesy, open to any music suggestions/songs that my fiance and I wanted, and was flexible with pricing.
I generally do weddings and events in the Hudson Valley area of New York. This includes Dutchess County, Orange County, Putnam County, Rockland County, Ulster County, Westchester County and the greater New York area. I have gone into Connecticut and Massachusetts as well. When the distance is over 50 miles I will usually charge a modest travel fee.

Jimmy was everything we could have hoped for in a DJ for our wedding! We had a small, low-key wedding with no bridal party and no traditional add-ons (bouquet toss, father/daughter dance, etc.). We just wanted good music and a good time. We met with him a few times over Skype and knew that he would be perfect. We gave him some suggestions for music just so he could get a feel for our style and told him to just go with whatever he wanted. And did he ever!! Lutz Entertainment was recommended by our day of coordinator Jeanne Stark (Hudson Valley Ceremonies). After reading excellent review after excellent review and a quick phone screening, we hired him for our wedding. We met in person once before the wedding to review introductions and accompanying music, our first dance (which he performed live), our musical preferences and the entire run of show. Jimmy has an extremely broad musical background, not only referring to his DJ'ing abilities, but he has been a musician his entire life. Jimmy DJ'ed our wedding at Mountainview Manor in Glen Spey, NY and was absolutely fantastic. He came recommended to us by the venue and we set up a Skype interview. He was very fun and excited about the ideas we had, praising us for going beyond what people had asked for in the past. We emailed back and forth some Dos and Don'ts, all of which he loved. We used Jimmy for my parents 25th anniversary celebration and he was wonderful! We had such a fun-filled, memorable evening!!
