Not all boxes are created equal: We select the right, industry-standard boxes, cartons for each item, and protect each item with appropriate packing materials. If necessary, we build custom crates to safely transport or store your goods. Remember: Your goods need to be just as safe and secure for a local move as for a long distance move.
We are piano specialists. In addition to individual owners, many Kansas City area music stores trust us to deliver instruments to their customers. In fact, when Steinway & Sons took the piano on tour that marked its half-million production level, the legendary piano manufacturer entrusted that special instrument to Gerber Moving for receiving, assembly, and transportation in the Kansas City area.

I would not recommend this company!!! Ever!! We started out two months before our move. They came out and gave estimate. I had searched other companies and thought this being a local company, I would choose them. I will say the communication process from the beginning was terrible. So, if you do choose this company, do not expect this type of service from them.
They said they would call the day before they were to come pack our home, I had to call them twice within the week before, and still no one called me the day before. The packers that did come out, (this is the only saving grace) where professional

AWFUL owners!!! They broke a piece of our exercise equipment and are refusing to pay for it to be repaired. It has visible damage and scratches which the moving team showed us. There is damage inside and the equipment now blows a fuse when you plug it in which happened to the movers while they were there. They are now not returning calls and say "How do we know it worked before we moved it". Really shady. Avoid this company. It was plugged in and working when they moved it.

Do not use this company! We lost our home to a tornado and entrusted Gerber to move and store the items salvageable. They damaged almost everything they touched. My kitchen plates were stacked unwrapped in boxes, bathroom drawers full of bottles of liquids were dumped into boxes with other household items, all unwrapped. They crammed our things… into wooden crates further damaging our items. Because our home wasn’t finished in time for Christmas we asked for our Christmas items from storage. They do not inventory the items and could not tell us what was there or where. They then charged

Gerber did an outstanding job on our move. Fast, careful, professional, considerate. They made the move carefree for us. While taking good care of our furniture, they still moved fast and on time. Took extra care with walls and furniture at both ends of the move. Salesman was attentive and responsive. Very reasonable priced. One small issue arose and the management team stepped up immediately and corrected the situation 100% and with a "happy to help approach". We have used Gerber twice now and have been 100% satisfied both times. Nice to see a company these days who provides quality service and

If I could give a minus start review I would. By far the worst experience we have ever had when moving from Fort Leavenworth to San Antonio. First of all, they had no idea that they would be moving a 1200lb safe, then when they showed up to move it, they brought four guys and tow straps. We told them from the get-go they needed pile jacks to get it… out, but instead, they moved it by force, which will be a problem later one. They didn't wrap any of our mattresses in the house, they put all of our furniture (which is the only thing they were supposed to move) onto a small moving truck where

Long story short, we have had to change our closing and moving date so many times! Gerber Moving is thee BEST!! They stepped i. When I was about to crumble from all the stress of his fiasco. Bill said we are completely booked the day you need us, BUT we are going to get you moved no matter what!!! Sooo they were great and decided to load us up and wait til we signed papers late in the day and was able to drop it for us!! Awesome service!! They are the best and the most accommodating moving company!!
