I ordered celery juice and it was brown. The owner saw my face and was like "it's fine it just carrot from the juice before. It's celery juice you'll be fine we just don't clean the juicer between juicing" I've been getting fresh juices for years and I've never had to deal with something like this. For a juice that costs $8 and is only celery it was quite a rip off. I also had pulp in my brown juice. Just sloppy...I recommend going else where if you are from out of town.

One of the best hidden secrets in OBX, you owe it to yourself to make a stop at Outer Bean. Try the bacon egg & cheese breakfast sandwich, and you must get one of their famous Paninis. Turkey, Tomato mozzarella, or Veg Pesto you can't go wrong. Make sure you try a refreshing coffee, Snickers Bar frappe or a delightful juice like Mango Delight. Make sure you order online beforehand for the best experience!

We were craving fresh juices and initially drove to the Duck location only to learn it's closed for the season (someone should probably tell Google and Yelp because we saw others walk up only to be disappointed, too).
But we made the drive to Kitty Hawk and we're glad we did! We ordered Mean green and juices which hit the spot. We also ordered coffee drinks just to try their coffee and their beans have a very nice flavor. I also ordered the vegan salad which was very fresh and filling. I ordered it without the dressing just to be celiac safe.
The next day we returned for more green

This coffee was perfect! I have no idea what it was called because I just said I like white mochas. I had it made with almond milk. We also got bagels with cream cheese and honey, iced coffee and a smoothie. Happy with it all. Seems like a gem of a place. I recommend It if you're in the area or vacationing. It was a bit pricey but I also bought a small bag of coffee.

SO delicious! The staff was so quick with our orders and everything was wonderful! If you are vegetarian and on the road this is a must stop breakfast/lunch stop! I got the Nana Love breakfast sandwich and my husband got the go-Vegan wrap. They split each into two servings - halved sandwich and halved wrap - so we were actually able to each have one half of each order! The food was delicious and super flavorful! The mocha and almond-milk latte we ordered were also delicious! Outer Bean Cafe may have to be on our regular stop list in and/or out of town. Oh! And with COVID restrictions you can just

Breakfast sandwich was great. Hardboiled eggs is a new concept for us on a breakfast sandwich, the fresh focaccia bread is a great touch. Will definitely be back for the breakfast sandwich.
The latte was just ok, nothing special.....holding it back from being a 5 star spot. it was good enough though that we will definitely be back.
If you place your order online, don't hesitate to pop in the restaurant to see if your order is ready. The system notification lags behind completion and they don't automatically bring it outside for you to grab.

Outer Bean is treating COVID wonderfully in terms of protecting customers and employees. Visitors must order online, are delivered a time window, and there are several menus outside making things easier in terms of physically looking at what the restaurant has prior to ordering online.
We ordered the Lady Bug smoothie. It was very good but tasted more like a milkshake than a smoothie. Very thin consistency. What I will say is how much I loved the menu... so many vegetarian and vegan options throughout.

Nice little local shop with coffee and light breakfast options. For COVID they have ordering at the door and they bring food out to you when it's ready. They have very comfortable seats out front - the strip mall is kinda sleepy so it was casual and relaxing to watch the traffic up on the highway as we enjoyed our breakfast.

We are so happy to have found this cute little place! We like to patronize local establishments whenever possible. Since I am a vegetarian, I appreciate the emphasis on vegetarian/vegan choices, but there are meaty options, too. Both my husband and I got hot breakfast sandwiches, which were obviously NOT just thrown into a microwave, but prepared to order. The coffee, tea, and mocha were just right, also.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the set-up for covid-19 was excellent.
