Born out of our love of fine wines, Michael and Melissa Poole have created the premier fine wine location in Central Texas. After traveling the world and sampling different wines and meads, head wine maker and owner Michael Poole decided to make his way back home to Texas and bring the world of great tasting wine with him.
We are dedicated to offering only the finest wines and meads. We have also taken great care in assembling a team of only the best to help our customers enjoy their experience while visiting our vineyards and winery. Our 15 acre property in Seguin has 3 different surface soil types and a common underlying beige colored sub-soil.

We recently found this gem driving the back roads around Seguin Texas. A wonderful find. We are quite new to the winery and tasting scene but enjoy it very much. Finding Blue Lotus Winery and dropping in to meet Katy and Allie was the best way to spend an afternoon. This is our new favorite place! Not only were the grounds beautifully scenic, the tasting room comfortable and inviting, but the wines and mead were fantastic!
The day we were there a food truck was serving up some fantastic Cajun cuisine. We tried some incredible gumbo for lunch. Katy suggested and raspberry mead to accompany our

Nice settings. Some interesting wine combinations with not too large a selection. As always not everyone likes the same. So for me the Red Wines missed the mark. On the Whites there were several "very sweet" ones, (be aware a "semi-sweet" here is a very sweet in other places), but also some nice dryer selections.
Never had mead before, so that excited me, but again the "introductionary" one was very very sweet. Liked the berry flavored much better.

As far as I could tell, at the time of writing this review this is the only winery in the immediate area of Seguin. After visiting wineries in Fredericksburg/Hye/Stonewall area, this one falls a little short. The wine itself is okay, but I didn't like it enough to buy a bottle. The building is a little strange, as is the decor inside. There's a lot going on in there. There were tons of kids running around which for a kid-free date weekend sort of dampened the mood for us.
I failed to get her name, but the young woman behind the bar serving was working hard, helped all the customers,

We showed up right at noon. I was a bit confused with the multiple different ways to reserve a table. You can text, email, or book online. When we left there were only 3 couples there so it wasnāt super packed. The venue has gorgeous greenery and large windows along the back wall so you can enjoy nature while staying indoors. We enjoyed ourselves so much we forgot to take any pictures while we were there.
The cheese we were served with our tasting was phenomenal! They said itās from a local creamery. We had to buy some of it while we were there because it was so delicious. The chicken tenders

Fantastic meadery and great service. It's obvious they want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Their meads are top notch. For pandemic concerns, they have an outside window, so you can taste test and purchase without going inside. Bring a 64 ounce Growler and they'll clean and fill it. Pricing is fair. Worth the drive if you like mead. I don't have much experience with their wines yet.

Whoa! A winery in Seguin? I had not idea. Met friends here for a surprise birthday get together. The tasting room is quaint with 4-5 tables. Was very shocked to find out they started as a meadery. And very impressed by the mead selection. There was 3 meads on tap, raspberry champagne on tap, and a plethora of wine and meads by the bottle available for tasting or a glass. They do sell growlers, so you can enjoy the tapped mead and champagne at home. I was impressed with the meads and champagne. I did not try any of the wines. Beautiful landscaping and large windows, which allow you to look out

Great lineup of wines and mead (malomel). It's a lovely family-owned business. The estate wines were very good, and I think the Golden Lotus is very special and would make a lovely gift. I think this would be a great facility to host a celebration of any sort, whether a wedding or a family get together. I am so glad that I stopped by!

We came here for my sisters bachelorette weekend! Had an amazing time! :) The harvesting was fun and the grape-stomping was great! I loved the variety of wines - all of us found something we liked. We also devoured the lunch they offered. The spaghetti lunch was amazing and the salad dressing was divine!! We need that recipe! LOL. Thanks for a great visit!

If you are looking to escape the city and explore the local wineries this should be a stop on your list! Personable, authentic, great tasting wines and mead wines. Mead wines are based with honey. They offer delicious food and a beautiful property to walk. They will even show you things like fresh picked grapes fermenting from the morning to unbottled wine tastings in their winery.
The couple that runs this winery are amazing and down to earth. I will definitely be coming back.

Had an absolutely amazing time visiting here! The husband and wife team are amazing people with beautiful property. My girlfriend and I both did a tasting, of which I bought a bottle of the Black Lotus (amazing) and my girlfriend tried both the ports. She ended up getting a bottle of that. We also got a bottle of the strawberry mead to drink there on the property. It was a perfect start to our wonderful valentines weekend we spent in San Antonio. We will definitely be going back and telling our friends about this wonderful spot!

We went in for a quick tasting and wanted to try the mead, which was excellent. The tasting was 5 for $7. The cranberry orange spice is a must try for the fall season. Our server was nice, knowledgeable and made good conversation. We'll definitely go back. The only recommendation that I would make to the owner is to put chairs at the bar. The tasting room opened earlier this year so that may already be in the works.

They have the best mead and one of the best wines I've ever tasted!!!!
If you like sweet wines (like I do) they have great wines, especially their white wines. They flavors are so complex and have underlying subtle flavors that come out as well.
The meads are really sweet and very smooth.
The wine tastings are 5 tastings for $5 which is an amazing deal. Their selection is somewhat limited so if you go with someone else you practically get to try everything they have.
The only downside is that t is out in the country, and looks a bit shady... But they are expanding so it's starting
