The Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) represents credit unions in Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, empowering them, individually and collectively, to provide consumers with outstanding financial services. And, as a member of CCUA, you're a part of a rich heritage that includes some of the oldest credit union trade groups in the United States.

Learn more about our members. CCUA has been enriched by a legacy rooted in the Massachusetts Credit Union League, which had a predecessor dating back to 1919-the first credit union trade group ever formed in the United States. CCUA is also honored by the Credit Union Association of Rhode Island, which began serving credit unions in 1934, and the New Hampshire Credit Union League, which began in 1954.
Services
At CCUA, one of our primary goals is to help you leverage our cooperative power for your credit union. One of the ways we do this is by pinpointing reliable credit union solutions. Through CU Connect, we help you find services that provide the support and expertise you need to avoid large infrastructure investments and streamline your operations.
At CCUA, we believe it's critical to invest your dues dollars in legislative and regulatory advocacy to ensure your voice is heard. But we go beyond representing your interests before lawmakers and regulators. CCUA empowers you to understand the critical issues facing your credit union, giving you tools to promptly and effectively communicate with policymakers.
The Cooperative Credit Union Association represents the interests of member credit unions before Congress. As advocacy is the hallmark of CCUA, a real and increased need to hold elected officials accountable exists while ensuring that members have the most up-to-date resources to do so. The most objective and accurate way to evaluate an elected official's performance on issues important to credit unions is to track their record.
Credit unions are subject to federal regulations that govern the full range of their operations. In addition to the National Credit Union Administration, our federal regulator and insurer, credit unions must be well informed about the regulations promulgated by a wide variety of other governmental agencies.
Advocacy is the top priority of the Association. The Advocacy Committees in Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island meet throughout the year to discuss legislative and regulatory priorities, attend events, and deliberate on policy matters. The Committees provide input on the items that matter most to local member credit unions.
