Please beware of "mold inspectors" and former home inspectors who claim to be qualified and "certified" to perform residential and commercial mold investigations. Find out who they are "certified" through, if it is valid and current, and whether the program is third party accredited like ACAC certifications are. Many of our clients hired an unqualified "mold inspector" who was unable to solve their problems before they came to us - make sure that doesn't happen to you too so you don't waste your money and time.

Our primary focus of services offered is in mold & water damage assessments, infrared (IR) thermal imaging moisture studies, indoor air quality (IAQ) studies, and industrial hygiene (IH) studies. Clean Air Sciences, Inc. was founded and received its State of Illinois Article of Incorporation in 2008.
Is an American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) - Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC) and Certified Environmental Thermography Consultant (CETC). Has 20+ years of environmental sampling and consulting experience with 14+ years as an Indoor environmental professional (IEP) beginning in 2003 as a Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE), and then as a CIEC beginning in 2007.
My wife and I unknowingly were exposed to mold in my mother-in-law's basement. We both developed a mold allergic reaction. I contacted Clean Air Sciences and Don Paxton promptly visited the house and performed various tests to identify the problem. He worked seemlessly with our mold remediation contractor and over the course of a few weeks the mold problem was resolved.
Visual and sampling investigations to determine the presence and extent of mold, bacteria, or other contaminants. Infrared thermography (IR) and moisture surveys to identify wet materials and water intrusion points. Generation of a detailed report which explains laboratory results from sampling and how it affects you and your home or business.
Many other chemical constituents may be monitored/sampled as well. Often clients are looking for unknown contaminants requiring a more extensive investigation and sampling strategy. Noise, vibration, and light evaluations may also be performed. Indoor air quality issues can have a significant impact on employee, student, or residential occupant comfort.

My husband and I contacted Don Paxton when we became concerned about a potential mold issue in our home. Don was immediately helpful and provided valuable information as I talked extensively with him on the phone to formulate a plan for testing the different areas of concern in our home. He made himself available to come out and complete the testing that same week and was diligent to keep open lines of communication throughout the entire process.
