Dr Hernz has been working with my daughter for over a year. He is knowledgable, compassionate, has a great manner and has worked with us to find the right medication and therapy to help her. He initially did genetic tests to make sure the medications would be compatible. He uses the smallest dosage possible with the hopes of not having to be on the medicine long term. I understand the other reviewer, wanting a quicker email response. I too have had to wait, but I have found if I need a quick response I just call the doctor's receptionist Ariel and she gets the ball rolling. I imagine

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hernz for more than 10 years and he has helped me so much. He is always on top of the latest research so he can offer you novel solutions when other psychiatrists would keep trying the same rotation of out of date drugs. He is so kind and understanding. I always recommend him to anyone needing a psychiatrist.

Dr. Hernz is very kind and sympathetic when handling difficult situations. He has offered excellent advise regarding medication. Years ago he recommended a DNA panel study that has made a positive impact with the use of medication.
Ariel at the front desk is wonderful. She immediately follows up with any concerns or questions that may happen. She has been so helpful to us on many occasions.

Charges $170 for a 30 minute session to not listen to your needs and to prescribe you medication that is not going to help you. He prescribed me a medication I had a horrible reaction to, left a voicemail with his office person Ariel (who is also horrible at empathy and customer service) to let the doctor know that I needed help and I wasn’t having a good reaction to the medicine he prescribed. I never heard back from him but Ariel has been persistently calling me to pay my bill. Calls, emails - borderline harassment. And in all of this, months later, I still have not heard from this “doctor”

The NMT, my beloved son, has suffered from anxiety, depression, and ADHD for some time now. Over the years we have benefited from the skills of talented clinicians, each of whom I've been forever grateful for.
Dr. Hernz is a gentle man who embodies peace and kindness. He is funny, but more than anything he conveys to his patients his fervent desire for them to feel better, and that he is on the same team as them. It's amazing what a transformative effect that has on a teenager.
For example, on a recent visit, the NMT was being, well, a teen. Sullen, silent, maddeningly obstinate

I was very disappointed by Dr. Hernz. It started out great- he is knowledgeable and seemed understanding and compassionate. However he proved to be very unprofessional. After my last session I emailed him with a question and never heard back. I had emailed him several times before and I knew it wasn't uncommon to not hear back for a few days however when ten days passed I was very surprised. I emailed him again, nothing. I tried calling and left a message with his office staff. That was on 8/31 and it's now 9/9. Honestly I am quite shocked and taken aback by his lack of response. It
