From cosmetic dentistry to full-mouth rehabilitation, our practice is equipped to handle all of your dental needs. As one of the most user-friendly Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) systems on the market, the carestream uses the minimal amount radiaion for dental scans. These scans are used in oral surgery and implants.
Dr. Douglas Gultz, a highly regarded general, restorative and cosmetic dentist has been in practice in Newark for more than 30 years. His current location, in a private home in the Ironbound section, has been treating the dental needs of the community for more than 18 years. Dr. Gultz is extremely unprofessional and rude. He has ZERO bedside manner. The way he treats his patients is unacceptable. With the over abundance of dentists in NJ there is no need to take your dental care to a practice that has a lead physician with such crude behavior. Save yourself the trouble of being talked down to and go to another practice. I don’t know how he keeps his staff either as I’ve also noticed unacceptable attitudes towards them!

I have been using their services for a few years with no complains until my last visit. I had an appointment which I couldn't make it on time due to work which then I called the front desk to let me them know I was going to be late and IF it was OK to arrive later or rescheduled, which they said it was OK to arrive late. I arrived there about 20 mins later which then I was waiting for about 2 hours until Dr. Gultz came to me to let me know that they could no longer see me because "he decided to put someone else on front of me(I overheard this while I was waiting) due that individuals procedure

I've been a patient of Dr. Gultz's for five years. My jaws needed a major overhaul and in his the practice, I was thoroughly diagnosed and a treatment plan was subsequently set that has been scrupulously followed for my utmost benefit.

Highly recommended!! I have never been to a dentist who went out of his way to help me the way Dr. Gultz and his staff did for me. They have both an exceptionally talented and professional crew, as well as extremely affordable pricing. First visit and I felt like I've known the staff and Dr. Gultx forever!! I am looking forward to the completion of my extensive dental work. Ironically as I have always been afraid of the dentist. He took my mind off of where I was and I was able to just "be"d I've never felt so comfortable before in a dental office and I've been going regularly since I was a young child. Such a nice dentist office, so friendly and professional. my toddler was cranky and Dr. Gultz himself came to introduce himself in the waiting room and brought my son an ice cream. they are for his child patients which i found very very nice.theother dentist who work there as well are amazing , Dr. Kate Mann was so polite and made sure everything I needed got taken care of. There are too many things wrong with this office for me to go into detail about the magnitude of how bad it is. My only advice to you is do NOT go here if you need to get any major work done.
The doctor is completely inappropriate and rude in regards to bedside manner. Unprofessional is an understatement.
While the woman at the front desk are nice, they aren't the ones working on your mouth so it really doesn't even matter.
They make huge mistakes and get irritated when you ask them to fix them.
I do not recommend this place whatsoever. I wish I had done more research before coming

This was my dentist for a while but I can't bring myself to go anymore. Why? They have *Fox News* on in the waiting room. And they frequently run late, meaning having to listen to not only Fox News, but also Dr. Gultz commenting on Fox News for an hour. So once I got past the waiting room, I was actually *less* anxious because even extensive dental work was preferable to waiting any longer in that space. Now that Trump is president I can't bring myself to go to the dentist because of his waiting room.

Not sure about the name of the doctor but it was not Dr Douglas, seems someone new joined to the clinic. He did the worst job, i had little pain around my already root canal tooth, he did some cleaning and filling, during the process he hurted corner of my lips. The pain after the treatment stayed for a month. For some reason more pain developed next to the treatment tooth, not sure about the reason but visiting other dentist to get it fixed. I will not recommend this clinic to anyone.

First of all I went there for an emergency and they didn't have a surgeon at their place, but took my emergency anyways, the problem wasn't that but I noticed they started taking lots of x-rays around my mouth, and I was there only for an emergency in ONE teeth. I also realized that they clearly take advantage of people who do not speak English (they don't offer translated forms for example). AMAZING Dentist! A wealth of knowledge, funny, and caring. If you walk into his office you are going to love it, not like it, but love it. The front desk team, his assistants, and the other doctors are extremely friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable as well. The place is clean with very latest dental digital technology.
I came in for a general check up, Dr. Gultz ended up fixing my gap and while doing so had me and his assistant laughing. My teeth now look amazing and natural.
Had a great experience, will definitely become a long term patient. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I recently had a semi-emergency on a Friday night with my almost-2 year old who had fallen and hit his two front teeth on pavement who was clearly in pain for most of that evening. This being our first child and never having experienced something like this, I called some local dentists with hopes of connecting with someone who can help me. I moved into the Ironbound and had the pleasure of meeting Dr Gultz. I had heard of his professionalism and his commitment to patient care from my neighbors and friends in the local area. He asked me to come in for an Oral exam and I did. Needless to say I did not do well since I have not been to a dentist in a while. I started to visit Dr. Gultz in January this year, and I hope I visited here two years ago. The whole team is very friendly and good at what they are doing.
