Serra Stone is a full-service masonry company in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. From stone veneer to stone walkways, from retaining walls to patios, from excavation to drainage systems, from small jobs to large-scale residential and commercial projects, Serra Stone delivers quality, service and excellence in stone masonry.
Our masons have generations of experience and the technical skills to produce the finest in stone masonry. Our project managers have the expertise to interpret architectural plans, ensuring every project is completed perfectly. We are a full service company. If a client needs retaining walls or driveways, for example, we can do the earth moving, excavation, concrete footings, drainage systems and masonry.
We start every project, big or small, the same way: a personal consultation with one of our professional project managers. Serra Stone was recommended to us by a friend who lives in Chevy Chase. The company is based in Bethesda. David, the project manager, was very responsive. His crew repaired our bluestone patio which has a signicant area that had sunk. The work was done with expertise and care and the team followed up quickly with a few issues that we had. The repair was more comprehensive than what we had originally planned, however we are pleased with the result and we expect it to last for many years to come.

Serra Stone has done both large and small projects for our non-profit group in a notable public landscape in Washington, D.C. We continue to retain them because the quality of the work and the knowledge and experience with nonstandard circumstances and terrain have proven time and again to our satisfaction. David, the supervisor with whom we work, is responsive and unfazed by difficulties. It is fascinating to watch the craftsmen working and shaping stone until it is just right for the fit and placement.
