Short version: good service, but a lot of drama when it comes time to pick-up, stemming from a totally disorganized ticket-and-filing system.

Long version: My mother lives in this area and always has good results with her dry cleaning. She told me that she goes to the cleaners on Hamilton and Meridian. I assumed she meant Dina's (near SJ Cafe), but she actually meant Bay Dry Cleaners (across the street). So I went to the wrong place. Oh well. Here are my experiences with Dina's thus far:

First time: I dropped off three shirts on a Saturday. And these weren't just any damn shirts

I pass by four cleaners that are closer to my house just so that I can have my clothes dry cleaned here. They have always been incredibly friendly and have taken good care of my clothing.

My husband stumbled upon this place while he was on a work assignment and decided to sign up for their laundry service. They would pick up our laundry from his work and drop off our laundry folded and clean, in a plastic bag a couple of days later. This service initially was really great except I find it very expensive. But my husband was so pleased with the way that the clothes were folded, and he loved how convenient it was; and that it was delivered and picked up from his location. My only recent complaint, is that we put our babies elephant lovie in the in the recent load that we sent; and

If I could, I would give this place much more then 5 stars. The staff is SO friendly and helpful. I once forgot my wallet at home when I was picking up clothes and they let me pay whenever I could come in next! Made me feel amazing.

BAD.......................Dropped off something for my mother that needed something hand sewn on to it. Dropped it off on a Saturday was told it would be ready on the following Tuesday. Went in to pick it up but was told we needed to come back on Wednesday. We did just that but nothing had been done....Taking my business elsewhere...
I tried to call and speak to a manager but no one answers the telephone....

Please avoid doing business with this company if humanly possible. It's near my house so I decided to give it a try despite the not best rating. Big mistake, yo.

My clothes were not completely ready when they said they would be. Alterations were done but pants were wrinkled and unpressed. Noticed spots and dirt that was not there before I brought in pants. Mentioned these issues to the girl and asked for a discount or free cleaning. They declined. Mentioned I had found them on Yelp and would be leaving a negative review. They said "that's OK."

Spent $60 to alter 3 pairs of

I think this place is okay. I came here because it is close to my apartment, but the prices are a little too high $6.00 to dry clean a jacket. Maybe I am too spoiled with the $2.00 dollar dry cleaning down in my end. Anyways i got a 20% discount for my first time here which is a plus. A Jacket and 2 suits dry cleaned was $19.88, but it would normally cost $26.00. I got it on time as they said within 2 days. The person that helped me out looked bored and did not want to be there to be honest. Anyways could improve on the customer service. I would try somewhere else.

Unfortuantely, I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews and say that you should not get alterations done here. I have taken in my work pants to get hemmed, and every time they come out too short. The last time I went in, I even had the clerk pin the pants on the long side figuring if they came up short again, I could still wear them. No luck, still came in way to short. I am not sure where the communication problem lays but I cannot recommend this shop. Its too bad because they are very convenient to my home and work.

I came to Dina's to get a bridesmaid dress altered. It needed to be shortened, taken in and I needed straps added to it. I went in once, about 2 months before the dress arrived to ask for an estimate. The owner (or main employee, I'm not sure which), told me based on my description it would be 65-100. I went back after I got the dress from Trudy's and the same employee looked at everything that needed done and told me $75. This was the best quote I had by about $15 and the dress was already really expensive and my budget was tight.

I was told the seamstress would be in on a Tuesday

I wanted to give Dinas a favorable review. I had a problem with a third party selling a discount car. After no luck recouping some money from this third party, Dina's helped me out by looking into it for me. Every time I call or go in they are so nice and super helpful! I am happy to be a customer.

Had heard good things, so why not. Took a pair of suit pants I'd been needing to hem to them, they said 4 days. Ok, so I come back and they've been taken up 3 inches when I only needed about 1. Had them do it again, had to wait three more days, and it's just an ok quality job. I'd go somewhere else for sure.

So far, so good. Dropped off a load of dry cleaning and alterations as well as some repairs. Both staff were friendly and spoke English and understood what I needed. Confirmed that I will receive 50% off of my dry cleaning order because I am a first-time customer. Estimated turn around is Monday (4 days), which is reasonable. The convenient location makes them a prime candidate for my business here in WG.

I'm a person of appropriate proportions, only smaller than most. children's clothes are too straight and petites have too much bust/hip for me to wear decently. so i was stoked to be "contributing to the local community" by having alterations done here.
my step-mom is a light seamstress from my childhood days, so i know what goes into the making of clothes. suit jackets are the worst (and most difficult to address, especially if there is a lining to be dealt with). so it didn't surprise me that alterations on a jacket were $20 for lining and $15 for regular.

I went here on the strong recommendations of two coworkers who have had great experiences. I needed to shorten all my trousers due to an injury that prevented me from wearing the tall heals (3"+) I typically wore. My goal was to be able to wear these with 1.5" heals, which I brought and a helper (not Dina) pinned to. Unfortunately, although they were pinned to take off just over one inch, they were all done way too short...so now most are floods even with flats. Really disappointing as this was about $600 worth of work clothes. I learned my lesson...next time one pair at a time to
