One of the most critical aspects of maintaining our independence as we get older or face health challenges is taking medications correctly. Few people realize it, but medication management issues are a real risk to the physical and emotional well-being of in-home patients. In the U.S., nearly 3 million older adults enter nursing homes every year due to drug-related issues.
Our nurses provide skilled, professional infusion therapy services that allow patients to receive care in a safe and comfortable setting-their homes. Typically, infusion therapy is prescribed by a physician when a patient's condition can not be treated effectively by oral medications. When prescribed, it involves administering medication through a needle or catheter, often with an IV.
