I thought of recommending this company to my friends and family, especially now since you can’t find toilet tissue in the stores, but I’m glad I didn’t because their unprofessionalism at such a time is unfortunate. Very poor customer service: ordered an item on their website - cumbersome and takes repeated efforts to enter the information. Finally succeeded with placing the order with shipping promised in one day. A couple of days later, the order appeared as cancelled on their website w/o any explanation or attempt to contact me. After calling them, someone got in touch and took the credit card information again, with shipping still promised in one day. I've worked in Environmental Services (maintenance, housekeeping and laundry) in nursing homes since 1986 and Direct Supply has been in business since 1985 so I've worked with them a long time. They cater to healthcare and have a great group of people who bend over backwards to meet our needs.
I have nothing but good things to say about Direct Supply and every nursing home I work with uses the TELS preventive maintenance program. I do not recommend anyone applying to this place. I went in for an interview for one of their internships. I have NEVER experienced such a rude and unprofessional employer prior to my experience at DS.
The receptionist asked me questions that I thought was definitely information she shouldn’t have had about me. She made me feel extremely dumb and when I asked for clarity or why/what she was doing she would never answer with a clear answer. This made me furious and left me with a super bad impression of the company.

I am one of their vendors and tried to place a follow-up call on a recent package I sent and called through the front switchboard vs. direct line as I did not have the contact information on-hand with me as I was traveling. The front desk receptionist was so rude on the phone, started questioning my intent for calling and told me to send an e-mail and hung up the phone. I don't think that companies realize how important it is to have a friendly and courteous person answering the phone. I wonder how many of their customers have been treated the same way?
