My wife and I decided to make a last minute trip up for the Apple Fest and most hotels were were either $350+ per night or just completely booked. We happened to find 1 room available at the Boyne City Motel and were pleasantly surprised. I’ll start with the bad- the rooms are quite small. As there were only two of us, it wasn’t an issue. However, families may find it a bit crowded. That’s honestly about where the “bad” ends. The good- extremely kind and service oriented staff. It was a good place to stay the night and had everything we needed plus some popcorn as a treat which I appreciated. Beds and bathroom were clean and sanitized. The manager was very nice and went above and beyond in helping us with items to make a bonfire. They also provided coffee and pastries in the morning. Loved our stay and we will definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area.

I saw the great reviews for this hotel, but still had somewhat lower expectations. My wife and I were quite happy with our one night stay. This is a older hotel with a bit of a retro style, but the beds were great, the room was CLEAN, the bathroom was CLEAN and the towels were NICE. So, if I have a need to stay in this area again, the Boyne City Motel will be at the top of my list. Many years ago I worked at Boyne Mt and would come to Boyne City to do my laundry...Boyne City has really come a long way in the past 45 years!

Great great motel!!!! We stayed here when we went to visit the mushroom houses in chatlevoix.
So happy we stayed at this motel. Very clean and comfortable. They even give you popcorn and water on your room. In the morning there was coffee and danish.
The people there are also so kind and helpful!
Definitely will stay there again if I am near there in the future.

Motel room was clean and well maintained. Fridge and microwave are a great feature. Joan takes great care of her motel and guests. Coffee and sweets in the morning are a nice bonus. There’s an area in the back with a picnic table, chairs and a fire pit. Downtown and the water is a short walk away with a cute park in between. My daughter and I would walk to town in the evening for dinner or an ice cream. Very cute, friendly and safe town. Will definitely return one day.

Very nice little local motel. All employees were very nice and sociable. It's about 2 blocks from "downtown" Boyne City. We had the 2 room mini-suite. It was nice to have a room separate from the bedroom. The only downside was there was only a window as/c unit in the bedroom to cool both rooms. If you have to close the door between the 2 rooms, the sitting room can get a bit stuffy.

From someone with very high standards when it comes to cleanliness, this place was spotless! The stay was fantastic, within walking distance to the lake as well as some bars and restaurants. The Motel is very well kept with hot coffee and a small breakfast in the morning. Will absolutely be staying here again next time I visit Boyne City, highly recommend!

Stayed here for the night, it's a little outdated but it wasn't bad for the night and as expected from the pictures displayed.I would recommend to let them know if you're staying a little later in the morning so the cleaning staff isn't knocking at 9am. But experience was as expected. There's ample parking and room was as expected!

Booked here for 2 nights as my friend and I wanted to come up to go skiing. We kept watching the weather and it didn't look good so my friend decided to back out. I called Thursday to let them know that I knew it was too late to get my money back for Friday but my son actually would be coming up to use the room Saturday to go snow boarding. She told me she wouldn't charge me for Friday (which she did not have to do) and said the room would be ready when my son came up Saturday. Even though I haven't stayed there I'll be booking here again next time we come because of the service

Clean, comfortable accommodations with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and had just the right amount of blankets on it to stay warm. Morning coffee and pastries are at the front desk. Close to downtown so you can walk to restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend, but don't take our spot! Lol!

Made my reservations in January. It was understood and clarified that I had a dog. Went to check in n the owner started squirming n making a fuss about the dog(he's a Golden retriever). Finally after reminding him of my reservations n pet request I had had enough of his excuses n left. Sat in the park n made a few calls. Found the Fieldcrest Inn. Called n spoke to owner. She was reluctant but said yes. Martha gets all the thanks n credit. Fieldcrest is a mom n pop Inn and very friendly. She took us in for the night and we couldn't thank her enough. DO NOT go to the Boyne City Motel. Not
