The Mission of Bull City Gymnastics is to create an atmosphere of energy and enthusiasm while using the sport of gymnastics to motivate and inspire our students to set and reach their goals. Bull City Gymnastics began as a Dance School in 1992, known as The Studio, School of Dance Arts. In 1998, the program expanded to include gymnastics and moved into a location on Shannon Road.

This review is about the competitive gymnastics team, not the classes.
Bottom line: Proceed with caution.
Our daughter did competitive gymnastics for seven years: two at Chapel Hill Gymnastics (which is owned by Bull City Gymnastics) followed by five at BCG. Her experience, and ours, can be divided into three categories.
THE GOOD
Our daughter developed resiliency, persistence in the face of failure, and a tremendous work ethic. She also learned how to take coaching and counsel.
The families at BCG are solid people, as are most of the gymnasts. Our daughter made good friends, and we were on

My family has been coming to BCG for over 5 years and have never had a bad experience. The coaches are incredible, from the famous Mr. Damien teaching the best preschool gymnastics anywhere to the incredibly talented team coaches. I love the front desk staff as well who are never too busy to ask how your day is going and if there's anything they can do.
BCG is the best gym ever!

My daughter has been training at Bull City Gymnastics for 10 years, and we have been very pleased in all aspects. Their competitive gymnastics teams are top-notch as are their coaches. Given the number of children who go in and out the doors there on a daily basis, I am extremely impressed by how well everything runs. And, even though I enjoy watching my daughter practice her skills, I still love to watch the little kids trying out new gymnastics moves with big smiles on their faces.

Our daughter has been in classes here from age 3-7. Nearly all the instructors are quite good, and seem to be well-matched with the ages of the students in their classes. The preschoolers mainly work on very fundamental physical skills (somersaults, balance) with a lot of care given to keep it "fun" (jumping into the foam block pit, musical games). As the kids move up in the classes, the instructors begin to emphasize good form as well as teaching specific skills, and sometimes a day's class can be a bit more "work" than some kids seem to enjoy. Our kid really does love it, though, and has asked
