Owned by the Brothers Jakob, located in the historic Castleberry Hill section of Downtown Atlanta, Elliott Street Deli & Pub is well known for its authentic neighborhood hospitality, mouthwatering sandwiches, yummy cocktails, ice cold beer, and legendary local music and art scene. After an almost million-dollar complete rebuild/renovation which left nothing but the brick walls of this turn-of-the-century building remaining, a notable neighborhood watering hole was created and a legacy continued.
Now, 14 years later, established and thriving, this Pub is a staple on the Atlanta food, music, art, nightlife and just 'cool-place to hang out' scene - with an Award-winning reputation for the 'Best Sandwich in the City' and a place to hear some of the most talented musicians in the world. All sandwiches made on your choice of delivered-daily, fresh artisan bread - White, Rye, Multigrain, Ciabatta, Hoagie - Traditional or Hot-Pressed.

We had time to kill in Atlanta and spent the day simply walking around downtown. As we crossed a bridge towards the Mercedes center, we quickly learned we weren't in a business center any longer.
Elliot Street Pub stood out like a lighthouse. We crossed the street and ordered our very stiff and yummy gin drinks. They have 2 separate outdoor seating areas and we had the largest one to ourselves (it was around 4:30 on a weekday). Lovely atmosphere and I wish we'd have found it on one of the evenings they have live music.
Overall the place was my kind of spot! A locals dive bar with character and

I'll give it the decent sandwich I had, but I wouldn't come here voluntarily, only if my workmates says to. Food is overpriced for something with no sides. Not able to sit inside is kinda bogus especially in this Heat. And the customer service could be worked on a lot. I get the mask mandate, but it doesn't need to be screamed at from across the way.
Edit from response: well better brighten the signs cause they weren't visible enough to be seen. And no worries I'll never come back, rather have a wendys burger with better customer service then a quality sandwich with trash customer service. Still

I was asked to leave after laughing too loud. Mind you this was in the hours before the UM vs Alabama game so there was plenty of noise around before I arrived at the bar. After laughing out loud the "owner" told me to leave. I asked why, and they said I was too loud. This was hours before a college football game. It took me aback because this was a weekend game and and everyone was loud at the bar so I was surprised to tell me I was too loud. I was also outside. So I would proceed with caution when attending this bar.

Had a very rude experience with an employee. I went to use the restroom and then tried to make a phone call inside (mask on and all) so I could find my friends who were also there. I couldn't even place the call before being promptly shooed out by one of the older male employees who told me I wasn't allowed to stay inside (even w mask?) And effectively kicked me out after only being there 5 minutes. There are much better places to drink than this hole in the wall with pitiful service
Edit: Did not cuss out the owner, not sure where that came from (?) Merely asked why I couldn't use the bench inside

We stayed at the new Reverb hotel and Elliott was less than a block away. The sandwiches didn't disappoint. My 10 year old got the roast beef sandwich which he thought was amazing. My Turkey Cuban was also really delicious. My partner got a hot dog which was also good. There are so many great options around there but this was a solid option for quick, good food.

I've heard about how great their sandwiches are, along with that potato salad, but to hear about it is one thing! Having it is another!!! Wow! I was blown away. Amid the cautionary rules and regulations of Covid-19, I was able to get out and experience this moment last night (1.23.21). A friend of ours from the band, Abby Wren and the Ravens(?), played a set there. And this was my first time there. The set was played outdoors and not in their usual spot downstairs, which was not available last night. Dope set up! All was outdoors. Spread out and masked up. Loved the dive vibe from the inside

Local classic spot to grab a bite and a beer at any time, but specially before games at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. The Elliot St Deli & Pub is located in the Castleberry Hills neighborhood and is convenient if you are in downtown or planning to get to the stadium area.
We went with some folks during a weekday. The walk from Downtown is roughly 15 min - and you get to see some areas of the city that are being renovated. We ordered beers and sandwiches. Everything was great. Service is fast and the vibe is laid back as expected. Will return in the future for sure.

Great place to go before a Falcons game! The sandwiches were amaaazing! We got the Rachel ($9.25), Turkey Cuban ($10.50), and Dirty Bird in Blue ($9.25), and everyone was more than satisfied. We didn’t even need a side to go with it, it was that filling. The cheapest beer was $3.25, which was cheap! The well liquor is where they get you. A whiskey coke was about $7, which still isn’t bad for Atlanta. Really fun place and really great food. We’ll definitely be back!

As visitors from CA, we have been looking for good food places in Atlanta and this definitely was one of them!! Was looking for a place with foods that weren't battered and fried and stumbled on this gem. We came after the last call for food, which we didn't know about, but they were gracious enough to take and make our orders anyway. So incredibly grateful for that because we had a tiring day and rough night that followed
Service was incredible, live music was lovely, and sandwiches (Ultimate and Rachel) were delicious! Will definitely try other sandwiches here if we ever visit ATL

While I love their food, I could do without the female bartender crappy personality-attitude. She is all chats and stories with the male patrons and regulars but when it comes to female patrons or intermitent- newcomers she's like a german anesthesist: Cold and rigid.
I've come here for the sandwiches and entertainment. I love their potato salad, and I also love their sandwiches but what I don't love is when I ask for something to be omitted from my sandwich and yet when I start to eat is got it in there. This happened 3 times already so either bartender is not transmitting the

We went here for a Friday night iron pour. It was so much fun! They had a great band playing. The iron pour was super interesting. The bartender was nice and quick with the drinks. Drinks were very affordable. I also had a chance to try a sandwich and it was excellent! Highly recommend having a night out here. Very chill and cool to hang out.

I love this place. A true neighborhood pub in the world of bars and clubs. You don't find jewels like this anymore.
This small, family owned deli and pub has been open for 10 years. It has 12 bar stools upstairs and the downstairs is a a perfect size for intimate music, burlesque, dance, art or performance art shows. They pick a nice variety of acts to feature through the week. Their Tuesday night open jam session always has fantastic musicians.
The food is great and the atmosphere is awesome. It reminds me of the old, cool pubs you find in New York and Chicago.
