The oldest rooted family-owned freight handler in the South dates back to 1927 when Hermann Services was launched by Fred Hermann after purchasing his first truck and hauling watermelons for the iconic A&P Supermarket in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
In the early 80's, William A. Hermann, a third generation leader of Hermann Services, successfully revitalized a warehousing and trucking conglomerate located in Houston, Texas during challenging economic times.In 1988, Hermann Services acquired this business to expand its operations regionally and renamed it Hermann Warehouse Southwest.
