Shenandoah Condominiums Units, Inc. is a self-managed, 4+ acre community tucked away in St. Matthews along Weicher Creek, along the Middle Fork of the Beargrass Creek Watershed. Built in the 1970s as one- and two-bedroom single family homes with a clubhouse, laundry room and an in-ground, outdoor pool. The units were rented until all construction was completed then sold as condominiums. In 2013, our desire to be an "OWNER OCCUPIED" community resulted in amending our Master Deed to reflect this restriction.
Services
Some communities hold gender-specific events (e.g., "men's golf outing" or "ladies' night out") and like to be able to send communications about those events to just the residents who would be interested. If your community opts to send these types of communications, providing your gender will help ensure you only receive relevant emails, texts, etc.
Shenandoah's boiler room and equipment was aging and inefficient. Over the last several years many improvements have been made that most will not see, but will serve all of us for years to come. The improvements save The Association money on the cost of heating and cooling our homes. Our heat is provided by hot water that is produced and circulated from the boiler room behind the laundry room.
The Owner's Manual functions as an FAQ section containing many of the Commonly Asked Questions that aren't addressed in the Master Deed & By-Laws and rules such as amenities, mechanics, safety and security and more. The Direct Marketing Association's (DMA) Mail Preference Service lets you opt out of receiving unsolicited commercial mail from many national companies for five years.
