When you have experienced federal workers compensation doctors who are helping you recover, you will get the treatment and benefits that you deserve. Although your personal medical professional is likely competent, they probably have little experience dealing with the OWCP. Most medical professionals are not familiar with the federal government, but if your workers' comp claim is to succeed, you'll need to find a doctor who is.
Finding a medical provider who is familiar with federal worker's compensation laws could very well mean the difference between success and failure. We want to help you get back on your feet, both at work and in your life outside of your career. Living with back pain can seem like a nightmare, in which every waking moment is misery, and sleep seems impossible.

While we'd like to think we're safe while performing our jobs, work accidents occur more often than we'd like to imagine. In 2014, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported approximately 3 million injuries in the workplace. And while the majority were non-fatal, almost 5,000 people died from work-related injuries last year, according to OSHA.
Work injuries are devastating not only to your professional life but your personal life as well. In an instant, everything that was secure suddenly becomes a big question mark. Injuries can happen to any worker in any occupation. While some may happen more commonly to people with physically demanding jobs, even people who sit an office desk each and every day are susceptible to getting injured.
About 56,000 postal workers suffer accidents on the job each year in the United States, according to a report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These range from sprains and strains to more serious issues like traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and spinal cord injuries, can prevent postal workers from performing their jobs and enjoying every other aspect of their lives.
Coming as no surprise, construction workers have some of the highest rates of injury and illnesses when compared to other occupations, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Routinely working with dangerous equipment and materials while in hazardous environments, construction workers sustain health issues caused by falls, machinery accidents, breathing in dust and chemicals, and many other reasons.
Just because office workers are not operating heavy machinery or piling bricks does not mean they're not at risk for injury in the workplace. While the office may not be the first place we think of accidents happening, they happen to clerks and office workers more often than we imagine. Not as physically demanding as jobs in construction or other occupations, office work can still be taxing on the body.
