Building a new home is the largest investment most people will ever make. Sometimes things can and do get missed during the home building process. It is wise to protect your own interests by hiring your own qualified, building code certified, private inspector. A well trained, experienced home inspector could save you thousands of dollars and a lot of grief.

If the home inspector finds defective items, systems or safety defects, the inspectors report could be used to negotiate repairs with the seller. We have found some foreclosure properties are missing major structural components as well as mechanical and electrical equipment. These homes may appear to be finished or nearly finished but have numerous issues upon closer inspection.

Mike at American Equity Home has inspected multiple properties for me, including my own house and investment properties. I have been consistently impressed by his extreme attention to detail and his remarkable work ethic. He is honest and forthright, and happy to help and answer questions throughout the inspection process.
He has saved me countless thousands of dollars on what would have been bad investments, and helped me find an excellent home for my personal residence.
