Tammy truly is the embodiment of the mansion. Her entrepreneurial journey started in her early twenties when she opened her own nail salon in Newton. After a few years, she was introduced to the events industry and worked in custom event linens. It was on one of her event installations that she fell in love with the Commander's Mansion.

Years later, she even got married here! Tammy has been at the helm of the Commander's Mansion since 2005. She will manage your event from beginning to end with kindness and a touch of sass. When she's not at the mansion, she is a mom to a teenage son, is an affordable housing advocate in her hometown, and loves to travel.

Weddings & Social Report

We can accomodate up to 200 guests throughout the Mansion and our seven acre property. We can seat 175 guests indoors throughout both floors or 200 guests under the tent. Our lush green terrain includes a beautiful Grape Arbor for onsite ceremonies, as well as both an East and West Lawn for cocktail hour.

Friends of the Mansion Report

The Commander's Mansion has created a Friends of the Mansion chapter; our mission is to seek support from the Watertown community and surrounding business organizations. Our goal is to develop, maintain and enhance the interior and exterior of the property through community funding and engagement. There are many opportunities in which you can support the Mansion throughout the year.

Beautiful place, was there for a wedding in late spring, that was partially indoors and outside. The ceremony location (on the grounds) is gorgeous.

That was the best experience on viewing and consulting a wedding and reception venue. I know the biggest selling point is the space and all they have to offer but honestly I think to get to be able to work with Gina makes it worth it. I think that she has the knowledge and the personality to be able to work with anyone and fulfill their wedding of their dreams, needs. If every person that showed their venue was like her it'd be hard to choose. Because you want someone to work with that truly gets what you're trying to envision.

As a wedding photographer, I had a chance to photograph a wedding here. The historic mansion is beautiful, grounds are well kept, and tent is pretty spacious. If you are getting married here, they have 2 separate rooms on the 2nd floor for girls and guys to get ready.

This is a historic home/building with beautiful grounds that can accommodate medium to large weddings in the Watertown area of Boston. I definitely recommend it for such an occasion.
