I strongly believe in the phrase "there's no substitute for experience." In my three decades of practice, though, I've also found that truly connecting with someone's situation is just as important. I can't predict the future, but I can help you plan for it. Let my experience work to your advantage as we explore opportunities to make life a little easier for you and your loved ones.

I understand why animosity is so often involved in certain branches of law, but I've never been drawn to those practice areas. My caring nature led me in a completely different direction - one that not only allows me to help people, but also incorporates my innate desire to educate, listen, and counsel.

I always knew I wanted to help people, but it took me a while to figure out the best way to go about it. Since I hadn't fully decided by the time I reached college, I chose to let my natural skills and interests guide my way - which led me to study accounting. The field seemed like a good fit, so after getting my accounting degree, I went on to become a Texas Certified Public Accountant.
Most people don't give much thought to planning out their long-term care - at least, not until they start to feel like they're getting "over the hill." But planning ahead is important, especially when it could mean preventing future conflict for yourself or your loved ones.

Estate planning is a process that allows you to legally declare your preferences regarding many aspects of your life, such as your health care, your finances, your assets, and your beneficiaries. The purpose of developing an estate plan is to ensure that your wishes are known, should you become unable to express them yourself.
There are methods outside of guardianship to manage and protect your person and estate while you are sick, injured and incapacitated. Guardianship is a complex, costly, court-supervised process for protecting and managing the assets, debts, and person of someone who is incapacitated. These steps should be taken before "incapacity".
The Statutory Durable Power of Attorney is designed to allow the designated person or persons to manage your financial affairs should you become mentally or physically unable to do so. This Power of Attorney is a relatively new form which was created by the Texas Legislature in 1993 and revised almost every time the legislature sits.

I am very impressed! He is an attorney with ethics , knowledge, and compassion towards clients and people in general. He provided an astonishing amount of information to help me through this overwhelming time. He renewed a tarnished view I had towards attorneys.

I found myself in a desperate situation when my mother suddenly lost her physical and mental independence. Fortunately, finding a nice nursing home was not a problem. But the task of properly handling her assets, and qualifying her for Medicaid proved overwhelmingly difficult.
It was nothing short of a blessing to find Mr. Charles Kennedy, and be guided through the legal challenges of properly handling my mother's affairs. He tirelessly worked on her case, appraised me of her best options, and guided me through the obstacles of Medicaid qualification.
I highly recommend Mr. Charles Kennedy for
