Dr. Gary Salak is a 1992 graduate from King's College, Wilkes Barre, PA where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Dr. Salak then earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now called Salus University) in Philadelphia PA. Dr. Salak has worked as an optometrist for 18 years, and his work experience includes both private and optical/retail environments.
Patient sees objects further away more clearly, but objects that are near are difficult to focus. The natural loss of elasticity in the lens of the eye which makes it more difficult to focus at objects that are near as we age. Cloudiness in the lens of eye that may be caused by aging, trauma, high doses of radiation, or side effects of certain long term medications.

Dr. Salak and his team are awesome! None better! Very welcoming, inviting, caring, and precise with every step of the appointment. Never enjoyed going to a Doctor's appointment in my life. This is a first. Will continue with them as long as they're in practice. I hate glasses. Now I can't wait to get mine! Thanks MFEC! Keep up the great job!

Dr.Salak and his staff were wonderful to deal with, from the moment my fiance, myself and children walked through the door we felt comfortable and knew we are in good hands. We all had eye exams and those of us whom needed glasses got them. They were patient and kind while we tried on frames until we found our perfect pair.
