Our family of 10 had our photo shoot in Maui on Dec. 20, 2021 with Sara (photographer). We had a great time with a great variety of poses. Sara had some great ideas for the photos. This is the 2nd time we used 808 pictures; the first time was 10 years ago on Kauai. The photos impressed us so we had no problem using the same company. We took our family to Maui for a celebration of life for my husbands parents who passed away 2 years ago & who wintered in Hawaii during retirement. Davin took so many beautiful photos on Kapalua Beach. He also did a fabulous job editing them to perfection. Grace From 808 Pictures, Photographer/Office Manager was understanding and helpful. When Hawaii locked down my wife and knew we were coming back. The photo shoot was pushed back twice over 16 months. We celebrated our 25th anniversary on Maui in July 2021 and arranged to have 808 pictures do a sunset shoot on the beach for us. They were extremely responsive and flexible to work with (we had to work around a dinner reservation that we couldnt change). They told us exactly where to be, how to dress to capture the best light at sunset and managed the whole process seamlessly. There aren't enough words to express how wonderful they are. Our wedding was canceled due to COVID...then canceled again... so we eloped. Then our honeymoon was canceled. We were in Maui celebrating our 25th and thought it might be nice to get some professional pictures on the beach so all of our pictures of our time there weren't just selfies! We couldn't be happier with that decision! TAWNI was our photographer, and she made the whole experience easy and fun. Overall good experience with 808 PICTURES and Malle. Malle did a great job and she was very cooperative and patient with our little daughter. We were given 5 additional images for no charge for the inconvenience due to last minute location change. We had a bit of trouble finding new location but Malle gave us directions over the phone and we were able to make just in time for our sunset photoshoot

My family visited Kona in May 2021 and booked a photo session with 808 Pictures and we got John as our photographer. The whole booking process was quite simple and easy to choose a package that worked for our family (we choose 60 minutes to include the extended family). We wanted beach and lava rock in the photos so it was suggested that we use Old Kona Airport State Beach and it was great! The kids had fun in the sand and looking at the tide pools. Cannot go wrong with 808 Pictures- great communication before we traveled to Maui and our photographer Sara was so friendly, nice and professional! Afterward the photos are quickly edited for download. Sara knew the right backgrouds- go here....there's a ginger patch and lave stone! Thats because the normal area that was a wonderful bluff was occupied by a family playing bocce balI. Sara pivoted and had other places- no regrets! highly recommend 808 and ask for Sara in Maui!!

I did a ton of research before booking 808 Pictures. It seemed like there should be a catch. Their prices are great, bookings are easy, and you get to keep your own digital files. Was I missing something? I booked and crossed my fingers.
Turns out, there is absolutely nothing hidden at all. They are an efficient photography company taking the best pictures on the islands. 808 really takes amazing pictures and makes the process so easy. They know the best spots, best times, and have the best people. We were assigned Davin in Maui. My teenage daughters felt very comfortable with him.

After crazy 2020 pandemic, we decided to visiting Maui for a break and decided to do family portraits on the beach & to celebrate my daughter birthday. We decided a week before our trip to Hawaii to do family pictures and were scrambling to find a photographer. Everything about working with 808 Pictures was so easy. From booking online, to keeping in touch by email. Our photographer, Lauren, even reached out to us by phone a few days before. Unfortunately, we were running a little late the evening of our shoot but, Lauren made it happen and got tons of great shots before we lost the light. She was fun, friendly, and great with our 9-year old daughter. And bonus, their pricing is so reasonable compared to a lot of studios that I looked into. So my Mom is actually an amazing high end family photographer who has been doing our family pictures for over 10 years. Working with someone new was definitely a different feeling for us BUT Lauren in Maui was more than a pleasure to work with!
