Open all year! You will find us right off the beltway in the Pennsylvania state capital of Harrisburg. Whether you are traveling from Canada to warmer climates or making your way around our beautiful country we are handy for a night's rest. We make a great base camp for trips to Hershey Park, Amish Country, and many local events.
Families participating in youth sports tournaments often stay with us and we offer late check out when the kids are winning! We fill propane in varying sized tanks including on board fills. Our dump station is available to the public and is an easy stop on the way home from a weekend at camp or a Penn State game.

We have used this campground several times as a stopover. It was great for what we needed. Showers/restrooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. We needed a part for our sewer hookup and although they do not have a camp store staff was able to help us borrow what we needed from another camper so we could hook up for the night. Downside is there is no camp store and the cost is a bit higher than at other campgrounds where we have stayed. We will definently be using this spot again when we travel through the area.

We are full time RV'ers and we stayed at Harrisburg East for a month. June-July 2021. The reason for the 3 stars is the park doesn't offer much to do besides a pool. I've read the other reviews and understand why people rate so high. The park is clean, bathroom/shower house is clean. We paid 1080 plus 82 for electricity. For that kind of money we are used to more amenities, that's the reason for the 3 stars. It is an average park, compared to others we have stayed at. The staff is awesome!! We would stay again but only short term. Never used the laundry, I went to the laundromat down the street
