Services
East Aurora Community Nursery, founded in 1948, was the first nursery school in East Aurora. It provided a two-and one-half hour program five mornings per week. As the community changed, a full day program for two, three, and four year olds became necessary. In 1978, the school expanded into a childcare center licensed by New York State.
The infant programming revolves around loving hands-on care. Infants are held, rocked and talked to. Our staff give respect to each child as an individual who will develop at a rate unique to him or herself. Staff provide plenty of tummy time, interact one-on-one and give eye-to-eye contact. Music and stories are an integral part of the program.
In our toddler programs, we understand this unique age and allow flexibility to meet the needs of every child in the classroom. Toddlers are able to move and groove, and are encouraged to use their senses to enjoy new experiences. Our staff promote language by constantly talking and interacting with the children.
PRESCHOOLERS (3-5 yrs.) Children learn the finer points of group dynamics such as cooperation, sharing and respect by trial and error with minimal teacher intervention. The thematic based curriculum is organized and meaningful enabling our staff to prepare preschoolers for kindergarten. Children develop at different rates and each child is unique in his/her own development, growth and acquisition of skills.
At East Aurora Community Nursery, we have many things of which we can be proud. We have a very fine teaching staff which include graduates of early childhood curricula at regional colleges and specific training in child development. They have come to us with a multiplicity of backgrounds from those fresh out of school with an armload of ideas to those with years of experience and a full bag of tricks!

We have been extremely happy with the care our son has received and the education our daughter has gotten at their Prek program. The staff and teachers truly care about all the kids and it is so easy to see. After trying out multiple day cares and schools in the past, we are so happy to have finally found a great fit for our family.

East Aurora Community Nursery is an amazing environment for my child. My son has been attending daycare here since he was 9 mos old. His teachers are so kind, patient and full of enthusiasm. They play outside when ever they can, or in the gym when the weather doesn't cooperate. They paint, play games and LEARN so much. He is learning new things every day, coming home singing songs and talking about his friends. Karie, the director, is so helpful and informative with all of the parents. Her staff, Mary Jo and Nurse Theresa, are like family. I can not say enough positive things about EACN and the
