The first settlers in the area now known as Tarpon Springs were A.W. Ormond and his daughter, Mary. They arrived in 1876. They built a cabin near Spring Bayou. J.C. Boyer, an adventurer from Nassau, sailed into the Bayou. He and Mary Ormond were soon married. One year after the arrival of the Ormonds, George Inness, an American landscape artist, discovered the beauty in the Bayou.
Anclote Key State Park is a chain of islands located in the Gulf of Mexico at the mouth of the Anclote River. It consists of Anclote Key, Three Rookers Island, and the North Sandbar. Anclote Key is 440-acre nature preserve. Three Rooker is a bird sanctuary. Please leave these areas as you found them.

Wonderful experience! First off, the equipment: the boat is very clean and well-kept. There is a bathroom on board (did not use). There is bottled water, and you can buy a mixed drink if you want. The crew: knowledgeable about the area's flora, the wildlife, and the ocean; personable and friendly, funny, and skilled at piloting the craft. The experience: a great, comfortable boat ride out to a great little spit of land for shell collecting, sponge hunting, beach sitting or wading/swimming. 30 minutes is all you get for this, but we got tons of great shells in that time, and I understand that with

We had a nice time on the tour. We saw several dolphins and found some really cool shells on the island stop. Definitely recommend for your visit to Tarpon Springs. The captain and “first mate” were a pleasure on board. We sat up front and would suggest that too!

Our guide was very fun and not too over the top with the quips. He sounded as excited as the guests when the dolphins were spotted! He always was very specific on where to look, which was great. I only wish we had a LITTLE bit longer to go shelling, but we did find a sand dollar and good shells!

Great people... friendly and helpful, above an beyond what I would expect...guys that do the boat are knowledgeable and personable... lots of options for boat tours in the area but they all book up fast def call ahead if you can't wait a day due to sell out.... but call these guys first...if you see dolphins or manatee and call it out they'll take that boat and try to get ya the best view... they pointed out all the things to see an throw out some local knowledge and were able to answer questions about the area... 10/10 would reccomend.

We absolutely loved the dolphin beach adventure tour we took with you yesterday for my mother's birthday. She is down here from up north and has never experienced one before. The crew gave her a great recommendation on where to sit and absolutely loved it. Captain Angelo did a great job talking us through the wildlife in the area and where to look to see the most things, and of course all the dolphins! We had a successful beach/shelling adventure as well. Will definitely return. Everyone from the ticket booth to the boat was the most professional, upbeat, positive crew I could have hoped for with

Our guide did not say much of anything as to the history of what we were seeing on the cruise. We were disappointed. Stopped at a sand bar beach for a half hour of shell collecting. Our 2 hour tour was actually 1 and 1/2 hrs. No dolphins seen and no mention by tour guide of trying to spot any dolphins. More interested in selling water and beer and snacks than in interacting with his passengers. Do not waste your time and money.

Disappointed not one dolphin insite don't feel like an effort was made in comparison when I did the mantee cruise. When I approached the lady at the booth and expressed this she replied "this wasn't SeaWorld". I don't usually leave negative reviews, clearly customer service and being nice isn't part of the package.
