Dr Ellner is such a wonderful surgeon, her entire team has so much knowledge and is so on top of everything they do. She has a great bed side manner and is so nice in meetings whether it's face to face or in her office. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking into changing their lives for the better.

I began my journey back in March 2020 weighting 224 "lbs. due to covid I was supposed to have surgery in May so it got extended to July. I have never met a more kind, loving, and compassionate doctor as I have in Dr Ellner. She walks though the whole process with her patients to make sure they understand what to expect. I was out of the hospital for Gastric bypass in one day and pain is under control. She has called and checked on me twice!!! I highly recommend did Dr Ellner for weight loss procedures.

Very unprofessional Doctor...explaination is at the end...My husband and I started seeing Dr Ellner around the same time. Initially, Dr Ellner and her staff were friendly and professional. However, after my first visit, and my husband's second, we started having second thoughts. Her diet plan wasn't helpful. She just kept saying if it's a plant or animal eat it. But it was so ambiguous it was impossible to figure out. Her office staff, while nice, were extremely disorganized. I do appreciate that Dr. Ellner and her staff are very thorough and organized. It does show that they are determined to help through the whole process. However, I am disappointed that after three months of working on my requirements, I find out that I am no longer a candidate for bariatric surgery. In 2015 I began this process, and had to step away. When I came back in 2017 I was nervous as my health had slightly deteriorated, but I was not chided or reprimanded. Instead I was supported and guided through the process of getting ready for surgery and finding my way through insurance requirements and coverage. Dr. Ellner is the best and I can't say enough good things about her. I first met her in the summer of 2011 when I was at the end of my rope with my weight struggles and was looking into gastric band surgery. Now I am over 6 years out from having my surgery with Dr. Ellner and I have no regrets about my decision. She is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but is also very caring and compassionate. Dr. Ellner is the greatest. I truly credit her with helping to save my life. I had gastric bypass surgery almost 3 years ago, and from my very first consult until now, she has been involved with my success. She listens, she's attentive, she cares. Anytime I've ever been uneasy about something on my journey or needed something, she's been there. Dr. Ellner and staff are amazing. I had the gastric bypass RNY (done by Dr. Ellner) in September 2014. I couldn't have found a better surgeon. Struck gold in finding a surgeon who emphasizes yearly check ups and follow-up care to ensure there are no vitamin deficiencies or issues well after surgery. You don't see that kind of one-on-one care too much from a surgeon. She truly cares for her patients and their success.

It's been 10 years since Dr. Ellner performed my Gastric Bypass Surgery. I am alive and well today because of her. I was able to have two total knee replacements after losing all the excess weight.
