I asked my community FB page for recommendations to have a wedding ring repaired and brought back to life. Of over 200 people chiming in Nielsen Jewelers were mentioned the most. Loving what I was hearing from people I chose to give them a chance and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! Most important of all...I felt very safe leaving something with such sentimental value with them after talking to their staff and learning that they do all of their work in-house. This meant that my wedding ring wouldn't be at risk of becoming a lost package in the mail as it shipped to some random warehouse or repair

Amazing service as usual. My dad has been bringing me to Nielsen Jewelers since my childhood. They are always helpful and created some very lovely pieces for my mom.
A great spot for a local business to support the growth of the Lorain, a small town with a big heart. Worth the drive to get exactly the piece you want or for repairs and cleaning of something you have at home!

They have the best Customer Service, a really good selection of Watches and Jewelery, and gifts.
Repairs and watch battery replacement, best value for money.

Purchased an engagement ring and wedding bands here. Carl and Tina were a joy to work with, providing excellent advice for the type of ring that we were looking for (a somewhat nontraditional design). They suggested a variety of options at different price points, and explained the pros and cons of each. Prices were very reasonable and I was surprised by how quick the turnaround time was. I never felt like I was being upsold (as can happen at other jewelers), and the final product was extremely high quality. Will definitely go back for future jewelry needs.

My fiancé worked with the team at Nielsen's to design my engagement ring. It's so gorgeous! They did an amazing job. We did have to go have it resized and they did it in less than 15 minutes on-site. It was so nice to be able to have my ring back so quickly!! When we had it resized they were sure to give me a full rundown of their recommended care instructions and suggested I come in often to have it cleaned and tightened (which they do for free). They're always so nice and professional when I stop by -- could not be happier!

Nielsen's was asked to resize a small silver ring which had great sentimental value. They were confident they could do the job without damaging the ring. The returned ring has been totally altered. The stone has been changed, (possibly it cracked during their operations), and they have replaced the rectangular stone with a tiny round stone that does not fit the setting. The silver is warped and scratched, and the ring is lopsided, having more silver on one side of the setting than the other. I called and left a voicemail, stating the condition of the ring and asking for a return call

My fiancé proposed to me in late June with the most beautiful ring imaginable. Obviously I didn't make the purchase, but just want to write how much I love the design! They gave him a bunch of options and provided amazing customer service. They sized my ring after the fact and they did it so quickly and efficiently. We will be back!
