Services
Chimneys need repair for several reasons. Age alone is a primary reason. Like everything else, they wear out. In our area the biggest factor is the weather. When there has been rain followed by a freeze any exterior masonry can be damaged due to the porous nature of brick and mortar. The Freezing temps can cause expansion which leads to cracks.

Chimney fires can burn extremely hot and can spread to nearby wood structures. Regular cleaning greatly reduces the risk of a chimney fire. Many people think that having their chimney cleaned might be a messy prospect for their home.
This depends on how much it is used. A wood stove used for heat may need to be cleaned several times a year. Any time you can see 1/8th inch of creosote build up on the flue, cleaning is recommended. When wood is burned the smoke and exhaust goes up the flue. There it cools and dries and forms a deposit called creosote on the insides of the chimney walls.

I had them come out to inspect and clean my two chimneys. A young, personable man came out but he did nothing. I am angry at myself for paying the $300 for 15 minutes of him just standing there talking to me. Make sure you get what you want done before you pay. I don’t like writing bad reviews but I’m still upset about this. Once they got the money they never finished the job.

Oregon Chimney removed an old furnace chimney, patched the roof, and replaced the deteriorating mortar in our main chimney. The quality of the work was fantastic, as was the cleanup. Amique at the main office was really outstanding and helped us make sure that the finished product was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended!

Very professional & easy to work with. Jeff explained the condition of our chimney & what needed to be done. Since we are getting a new roof, we wanted chimney rebuild done first. They rearranged their schedule to work us in. Selene is a gem to deal with in the office. The guys that did the rebuild were very professional & friendly. Arrived on time & did a great job. Clean up was done very well. Highly recommend. Really appreciated their flexibility.

Your employee Casey came to to my home Tuesday 11/3/2020 to inspect, clean my chimney and wood stove. He spent several hours cleaning years worth of build up and did an amazing job. I tried to offer him a tip which he could not accept. I want to make sure you know how appreciative I am of him and your company and will refer to anyone who has asks.

We didn’t use our fireplace between buying our house a year ago and early December but when we had Oregon Chimney come to sweep it, we discovered it was not only overdue for cleaning but also not up to code.… The grate was positioned too low (some smoke wasn’t getting up the flue and it was challenging to get a hot fire going) and the gas starter line sat on TOP of the grate, which left it damaged. But as of today we’ve got a safe and functional fireplace again! Shout out to Dallas and Oregon Chimney for the excellent work!!

I had Oregon Chimney out to tear down and rebuild my chimneys because one of them was falling apart and rain was leaking into my ceiling. I loved getting to choose my own color bricks; the replacements chimneys are beautiful and solid craftsmanship. I still had an issue with my roof leaking around the chimney after the the work was completed. Fortunately, the team at Oregon Chimney worked hard on my issue until it was completely fixed. This looked like them wrapping it until they could fix it, repairing the flashing then coming back 2 times during hard rain to ensure it was not leaking. After all

Jeff and his crew did a wonderful job on our new Chimney. They arrived at the time they said they would and completed the job in 2 days. When I came home after they left my property, the workspace was clean without any sign of them being there. Great communication from the office scheduling staff, and on the day of service, I was called to see if the technician (Jeremy) could come earlier as he was ahead of schedule. He was at the house five minutes later, and quickly determined that the crack was not an issue. I genuinely appreciate that he didn't look at the situation as a sales opportunity. Jeremy told me what to look for in the future, and explained the way these fireplaces are built.

These guys are fantastic. They came out and looked at my ancient chimney (house built in 1905!), got up on the roof and checked all around, and gave me a very reasonable quote to overhaul the whole thing.
Not only that, but they were able to squeeze me into the schedule much faster than they initially thought. The two guys who came out were great, they explained what was up, listened to my questions, were willing to accomodate things I needed, and did a great job.
In the end they tuckpointed about a third to a half of the chimney, put a new cap on, managed to remove the old rusted-shut flue

Oregon Chimney to the rescue! New to Portland we purchased a charming 1920’s North Portland bungalow that also came with all the fun challenges a near 100 year old home brings.
Our chimney was in dire condition, you could actually see through it. After a few bids we landed on one we felt was fair and comfortable.

I recently had this company come out and inspect a fireplace because I have had water come into the downstairs walk out basement around the fireplace. I did this because a company called Brick by Brick recommended that my water problems were not do to poor soil drainage but due to the fireplace itself. I first called Portland Chimney and Masonry Inc. They came out and said I needed $1600 worth of work on the fireplace and that would solve my water coming into the house problems . Thank goodness I got a second opinion from Oregon Chimney Repair and Cleaning!! This company was so honest and forthright

I do not recommend this company at all, I bought a home and they came out to my home and did a inspection, they missed many things, the mortar is all cracked and the Chimney needs to be sealed, I have water seeping into my house and I can not get a return phone call. They also supposedly cleaned my fireplace and fixed the damper, I am still unable to you my fireplaces... beware before you choose Oregon Chimney...
