We had Lauren as our instructor and she was WONDERFUL. The only dance moves my husband and I had were finger guns and hip swaying. We wanted a special first dance for our wedding, not just your typical sway back and forth. Lauren was so patient and understanding and even defused a few tiffs between us when we got a move wrong ;) She taught my husband how to lead, she taught me how to let him(boy was that hard!). We left every lesson feeling more confident than the last. Come wedding day, we were so ready and from the crowds cheers, pretty sure we crushed it. It was such a special moment for us

My husband and I went in for lessons for our first dance at our wedding and Rachel choreographed a beautiful dance. She was so patient with us and was able to adjust when she could see that we needed less stress. My father and I also went for lessons for the father daughter dance and it looked great!

LOVED our experience at Arthur Murray Dance Studio! My fiancé and I wanted to learn something for our first dance at our wedding. We were extremely timid about what to do and where to go. After my first interaction with our instructor I knew that she had our best interest in mind! She was able to choreograph a dance that was great for us! Not too technical, but was not the old “high school sway” that we wanted to avoid. Each visit we were greeted with smiles from all of the staff! Would highly recommend and go there again in a heartbeat!

I've been to a few different dance studios before but none like Arthur Murrays. The atmosphere is energetic, fun, and enjoyable. My Fiance and I came here to choreograph our first dance together as a married couple and I couldn't be more satisfied and blown away. Our choreographer Lauren has been so much fun to work with and the dance is absolutely beautiful. I'm gonna tear up with happiness every time I hear this song we are dancing to. So excited to keep working with Lauren and her amazing team!

What began as a "I want to look good dancing at step-daughter's wedding" has turned into a life changing journey and discovering the love of dance. Signed up nearly a year ago and continuing to learn and grow. The entire staff at Arthur Murray is warm, welcoming, and instruction is provided without judgment. Arthur Murray Dance Studio is incredible! We have been learning to dance for our wedding and been having a ton of fun. Everyone who works there is kind and supportive. We've mostly been working with Rachel and she is so passionate and excited about choreographing a fun and beautiful first dance for us. We are hoping to keep going to dance lessons after the wedding!

In my opinion, THE BEST place to learn ballroom dance! I have been taking lessons with Arthur Murray KC since September of 2015 and still love it to this day. The instructors are amazing and you will build so many new friendships with other students while also improving your dance skills. Highly recommend to everyone!

I enjoyed a group-lesson event here, the studio is really nice and the hosts were quite good at teaching us (a group of a couple dozen, all different levels of experience) several dances. The practice party was a blast too. My only gripe was that the air conditioning wasn't keeping up, the room got uncomfortably warm (and this was before the serious heat wave started, it wasn't unusually hot outside.) Other than that little detail, definitely worth checking out if you want to learn some new dance skills.

I am thrilled I chose Arthur Murray of Lenexa. Originally I chose it because they offered a wider range of dances than most other studios in the area. But now I'm hooked because I LOVE LOVE LOVE my instructors! They really take the time to learn what your goal is (whether you just want to learn to try something new, or for exercise, or in my case--to compete in competitions), and tailor your lessons to that goal. I like that they encourage a mix of private lessons, group lessons and practice parties because as I've learned, you really become a better dancer by going to all 3.

Great studio with no pressure staff and friendly amazing instructors. Everyone is always so polite, nice, and love helping us learn how to dance. You can tell they have a passion for what they do. Ease of instruction and social events (dance parties) help us develop and feel more comfortable dancing together.

Such a fun time! My cheeks hurt so much from all the smiling I did! It was a blast spending that time with my husband and learning something new together as newly weds. It was quite expensive but if you have the means I do recommend doing lessons here. Instructors were super nice and easy to understand. They were superb dancers.

I took lessons here for a few months. First the good. The teacher are really nice and encouraging. They explain things well and make sure everyone has fun and gets to dance. I would never say that they don't hire good teachers. The main thing that kept me from going back was the huge price tag. They charge $135 per "unit" aka, private lesson, and tend to pressure you to take weekly private lessons, so you're spending at least $540 a month if you do that. It does come with unlimited group classes, which is nice but they are only 45 mins and it was just too far of a drive

Dance instructors are nice enough but they do the hard sell on buying months if lessons which we declined but my parents bought. They had fun and learned a few new dances but the paid a lot of money for the sessions.
I was not overly impressed with our lessons so I didn't buy a package or additional lessons past the wedding ones.
Just beware of high pressure sell tactics.

My wife and I have discussed dance classes for five years or so, but never could seem to make it happen. (Strangely enough, our four year old daughter can't seem to figure out why we haven't been able to go until now either.) Well, recently a groupon offer came up around the time for the wife's birthday and I jumped at the chance to get started.
The studio is in the upstairs of the row of shops that are just north of the tracks on Pflumm. Once you park in the lot, you'll walk north on the sidewalk to the entrance on the Pflumm side of the building, then head upstairs.
