Sellair
In 2010 the owner saw an opportunity to help homeowners get comfortable in their homes, gain energy efficiency, and live in a safer environment. This was all possible by performing Energy Audits on home, then Air Sealing, and Insulating the homes. To start, Sellair underwent BPI Certification to properly conduct Energy Audits as well as Air Seal and Insulate homes.

BPI Certification is the nationally recognized standard for Energy Auditing. Next, Sellair became a participating contractor in utility programs for PPL, FirstEnergy, and UGI. The utility programs provide consistent work to keep employees in-house and busy, they provide year round training to learn best practices in energy efficiency, as well as a Quality Assurance component to test our work to confirm quality installation.

Without air sealing, unwanted cold air enters your home in the winter and hot air enters in the summer. Learn how to keep your home comfortable, energy efficient, and safe. 2017 PPL Electric Utilities Corporation may offer rebates to help you with your project cost. The blue is cold air leaking into your home.
We scientifically measure how leaky tight your home is with a blower door test, among other other tests listed below. The Department of Energy explains the Energy Audit in the video to the right. Using an infrared camera, we can now see where all the leaky parts of your home are - which you can't do with the naked eye.
The main goal of a comprehensive energy audit is to evaluate the use of energy in your home and to identify opportunities to improve it. However, a good energy audit also will also focus on safety, indoor air quality and the integrity of your home.

A comprehensive audit from one of Sellair LLC's BPI (Building Performance Institute) certified auditors will help identify cost-effective improvements that will increase the durability of your home, increase your family's comfort, and lower your utility costs. The process will start with you, the home owner, to find out what symptoms you have been experiencing and identify your concerns.
Any Energy Audit with a rebate allows you to have up to $100 worth of energy efficient measures installed for free. After the Energy Audit, hundreds of dollars available for installing energy efficient measures. Call us at 484-240-4990 to learn more or visit PPL or MetEd for detailed program information.
The rim joist in the basement is a very energy inefficient area. Here we added 2 of 2 part spray foam. A targeted approach to spray foam will save you money on the installation and in utility bills. Radiant barrier (which we do not recommend for this climate) was installed improperly. We air sealed, then insulated, and re-installed radiant barrier properly upon client's request.
